"Helicopters are not easy to fly."
Huh? How about Helicopters, for some people, are not easy to LEARN to fly.
The guys I flew with in Nam sure made it look easy (120 kts @ 5 feet over the rice paddies hopping over grazing water buffalo) with no apparent effort on their part other than the smile on their faces.

From the picutres I'm seeing on TV now, looks like the fire is either under control or out. Just a lot of smoke at this time.

Shep turns into stupid in breaking news events.
Earlier he said, "We have a report that one people is dead"

The answer is: we're in the FOG of war...initial reports are almost NEVER accurate until the people are out and the debris is cleared and the reports are checked...just hang in there, an unknown aircraft, now possibly a small fixed wing (not Helicopter) airframe has crashed into the apartment. The cause is UNKNOWN and we don't know yet much beyond that...
No criticism of ANYONE here, but please, if we all report FACTUAL material we can get better explanations...

What is a fixed-wing airplane? Well, its just about all of them. LOL. Exceptions would be my old bird, tiltrotors, ultralights and hang gliders.

If this was an attack it sure didn't bother the Dow. Up 50 points since just before the news broke.

A fixed wing plane is a conventional airplane as opposed to a helicopter or autogyro. the blades of a helicopter or autogyro are considered to be rotating wings.

Ask me sometimes about how many ways that human beings have found to fly airplanes into things that you think they would miss. You are correct, it is quite often actually... every 'accident' involving an accident will hit something, be it a building, hanger, tree, river, ground, etc.. If it were an accident over NYC, the odds of hit hitting a building versus not are pretty clear..
