no way. if we blockade NK, and they send a 1 million man army south - what do we do next? we can't stop that kind of invasion with conventional weapons.

Bush deserves to be bashed on this, granted the Democrats will be selective and ignore Clinton's role, but Bush dropped the ball bigtime.

The ball dropped on your head a long, long time ago.

I hope the MSM covers that 'bribe' to Bill Clinton tomorrow. After all, Clinton was SO PROUD that he received that PROMISE from Kim Jong-Il in 1994--in exchange for the nuclear reactor and all that money we gave them.

As John Bolton told John Kerry---North Korea started violating that PROMISE to Clinton the very next day!!

Thanks, Slick--add this one to your precious legacy!!

the date, 10/8, has some importance to Kim's father. that's why they set if off today.

Do we have to worry about the 12th Imam from N Korea too? They're all nuts.

Uh...you don't get fallout from an underground test...

Well you aren't supposed to. But Shiite happens, even with US underground tests.

Hard to infer yield from seismic magnitude, since it depends on how well the energy of the bomb couples into the local geological strata.

Does it? I think there would be dependicies on the strata that it was set off in that would make the seismic reading a poor indicator of the size of the device.

Mark Kirk kept saying over and over that N. Korea had "humiliated" China..by doing this...since China had warned them just yesterday NOT to do it.
