That was my thought as well. If they didn't want this to happen they clearly overestimated their influence over this nut.
You know I knew Karl would be working hard to get Foley off the front page, but this is a bit over the top even for him. s/
Really, at this point anything he can do is welcome. A great nation spent over a week obsessing about dirty talk on the internet. I could not believe it.
October Surprise Dimocraps!!!!
Here's a funny line from Wonkette.
"We just want to be the first to say George W. Bush doesnt care about Kim Jong Il. Thank you."
WTG Karl! ;)
Just saw the following on Seoul's craigslist:
For Sale: Nuclear device ideal for the terrorist looking to obliterate a US city. Asking $5,000,000 but price is negotiable. Please, only serious terrorist offers only. Would make a nice Christmas gift.
Gretchen Blond-ditz on Fox & Friends keeps trying to say NK set off a missile.
Roger really needs to review the blond news-readers. Some of them can't even read news off the teleprompter.
You may be right. It looked like he was distracted by something ...
Good point.
According the the USGS seismic readings, the NK blast was equivalent to 550 tons of TNT. For comparison, the Nagasaki blast was a 20-kiloton yield.
If you really think about it, NK could have just trucked 550 tons of conventional TNT into that abandoned coal mine and set it off. Who'd know the difference? The world would see them as joining the Nuke Club and nobody'd be the wiser.
Get US soldiers out of SK. Lets help Japan fully rearm and let Beijing and SK take care of this. The SK hate the US anyhow.Any nuke used on Japan or the US will be met with total annihilation of Nk and her allies.
"Hit them now!"
As much as I think Howard Dean is a maniac, his mantra last week will resonate with voters:
5 years after Bush took office, NK has nukes
5 years after, Iran is getting nukes,
5 years later, no bin Laden.
Bush needs to do something to address this. And it might be wise to do it in the next three weeks. Clinton paused before the election, thinking people would claim any action taken against UBL would be seen as political maneuvering. Bush has nothing to lose.
Thread on Russia's estimate (which is much larger):

I don't understand these graphs, but that has been bugging me all night.
Last night the test wasn't showing up on the EQ graphs. The media were reporting it wasn't showing up. How does that work? I am not trying to debunk, I don't know enough about this to know that I don't know. LOL Just curious!
5 years later and the Dems still provide no alternative.
5 years later the Clinton Legacy comes home to roost. Give me a break with these DU talking points.
What ... you're against the free market? /s
