House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., discuss Medicare and prescription drugs at the Sunrise Senior Center, Tuesday, Oct.3, 2006, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Pointing toward midterm elections, Pelosi promised to raise the minimum wage while cutting taxes to spur economic growth and help the middle class. (AP Photo/Steve Mitchell) AP - Oct 04 8:15 PM
You are so right. Bush never gets any plus for the economy. MSM is gagged to report the good news. Especially the AP which is read verbatum by every radio and TV channel.
I do believe AP reporting is the huge problem.
And, she promised to give every Democrat voter a tootsie pop!
Bill Clinton made the same promise, then backed out saying he "couldn't find the money" because the first Bush had messed things up so bad.
"Sounds just like Billy Boy Clinton before he was elected. Once in office he said oh I am sorry we really can't do this."
Lets not forget Corslime (D) NJ governor saying the same thing and then raising taxes in that state. Dems that cut taxes are as odd as $3 dollar bills.
A bipartisan multi-hundred billion dollar drug give-away to seniors. And it isn't enough. Just like Medicare, Welfare, Social Security, et al, they all start small and then absolutely balloon out of sight. Except Medicare drug prescriptions started HUGE and will grow to GARGANTUAN if she gets her way.
Hang on, FReepers! Stretch Peloosy Goosy has more promises to make. She probably has her own October surprise lodged up in her Depends.
So Pelosi is going to help the Middle Class by raising the minimum wage for entry level jobs (which results in a loss in jobs and the need for higher taxes to help take care of those now unemployed). How does forcing increases in the cost of nearly everything we buy due to increases in minimum wage help the Middle Class? For that matter, how does forcing increases in the cost of living from higher wages help those living on minimum wage?
LOL, LOL, LOL!!! That was just great.
This is scrappleface, right? SanFranNan never met a tax she didn't like.
Now Nancy's complaining that the DSCC isn't giving a dime to the Maine Senate campaign for the Democrat candidate (Hay-Bright). Well, we know the dems have never been very bright when it comes to counting. Funny that of all the states this year with Republican senators up for re-election, the only ones with Democratic governors which were also Blue in 2004 are Maine and Pennsylvania. Looking at the demographics, a dollar spent in Maine would count like $7 or $8 spend in Pennsylvania, if you just compare the number of voters in the two states. Naturally the brilliant libs are spending exactly $0 in Maine. LOL.
ROTFLMAO
A Dem cut taxes ? HAHAHAHHHAHAH
She can't be for real saying that ..Just like our new GOV in NJ .SWORE to God he wouldnt raise taxes. He wasen't in office 30 seconds and he raised them . Today they announced that in NJ they will now be taxing everything from MP3 downloads to tatoos to floor covering to tanning salons. I'm not joking
"... lying skank ..."
Boy that sure fits her. Here is Rangel saying he's going to repeal all the tax cuts .. and unfund the war .. and here she is saying she's going to cut taxes .. pitiful.
These people will say ANYTHING to try to regain power.
I think Bush thought he could take the prescription drug issue dems had been talking about off the table. But, no. They are still campaigning on it anyway, even though Walmart has generics for $4. Even Montel Williams knows this is bogus. So do the old folks in the senior center, too. Just goes to show Nancy knows nothing about real people. I'll stick with the everyday low prices people, not government.
It's been a strange week. Democrats are out gay bashing and now their going to cut our taxes. Since Grandma Nancy is in such a good mood I wonder if she'll let us drill in ANWAR.
Oh, pleeeeeze - Nauseating Nancy is already on record stating she would raise taxes! And Rangel will cut funding to the troops. Is this what the public wants?????? And the pro aborts would be in charge. Is this what the public wants? And they would shove liberal judges down our throats - you get the picture.
Heck no !
Why bother cutting taxes across the board equally ? They only need to cut taxes on a few million more "poor" to get them off the tax rolls completely -- and then they'll have locked up a 51% voter-majority that doesn't care how high taxes are on everybody else.
