Democratic leader visits Sunrise to rally votes from seniors

SUNRISE · Hoping to draw seniors to the polls next month, U.S. House Democratic leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California and three local Democrats on Tuesday lambasted the Medicare prescription drug law.
"This is a bill borne of corruption at the expense of America's seniors," Pelosi told 100 people packed into a hall at the Sunrise Senior Center. "We can do something about it."
Democrats are hoping to bolster support for their party in an effort to tip Congressional control in their favor on Nov. 7.
Pelosi was flanked by U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, D-Miami, who faces write-in candidate Eric Simpson in November, as well as U.S. Reps. Alcee Hastings, D-Miramar, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, both of whom won re-election in the September primary.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. She already promised to repeal the Bush tax cuts for the people who create jobs (the "rich" - however that's defined now by the Rats; likely anybody making over minimum wage).
It's all a scam, they will raise taxes on the "wealthy", cut them for the "middle class". Except their definition of wealthy rapidly becomes anyone making a decent living, and the middle class becomes the poor. The other dems intend to raise taxes and make no bones about it.

I guess it depends on what your definition of 'cut taxes' is.... and to what 'portion' of the electorate will these cuts be? No way a current dem would cut taxes across the board equally...

Sounds just like Billy Boy Clinton before he was elected. Once in office he said oh I am sorry we really can't do this. Democrats hate cutting taxes. Do not believe it for a second.
They raise the minimum wage and the payroll tax, so any additional income gets taken by the government.

Bill Clinton pulled off this scam. Promised to cut taxes, but instead passed, with only Dem votes, the largest tax increase in the history of the Milky Way galaxy.

She is a liar. She is going with the middle class tax cut bull again. she will raise the minimun wage ( a tax on small business) and repeal the bush tax cuts. I think Yahoo cherry picke a couple sentences out of the speech.
