She will say anything now. I've noticed that she has been making a lot of statements in the news.
If the Dims are supposed to retake back Congress, then there's no need for her to shore up her base.
I think the internals are showing the writing on the wall for the Dims, and if the Dims don't win back the majority, Pelosi and Dean will be the first to get the heave-ho. Pelosi will be forced to give up her Minority position and she'll be vulnerable in 2008 or may even retire. The Clintons will assume full control over the Democrat Party early next year.
