CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

Brian Ross needs to be fired
A careful and intelligent attorney (this one is not a dummy) will examine the entire case and do lots of fact finding before running out and making statements that turn out to be wrong. Also, I don't think they will dispute the content of the messages, just that Edmund was only play acting on his end.
Pelosi and Rahm Emannuel will need him too!
There may be a whole lot of people needing a lawyer including brownshirted trolling moles on this site, who have want Hasert lynched yesterday. Who know how deep they were involved in this latest attempt election coup by the MSM and gay rat operatives?
That does not negate or excuse the despicable behavior by the Democrats and the media in smearing the entire Republican party and, to at least some extent, orchestrating how and when this information leaked to the public.
One thing the 'rats haven't counted on is the contrast between how Republicans handle this sort of thing verses how they handle it. We dump 'em; they honor 'em."
I'm trying to memorize what you said should I need to repeat it to my left leaning friends. What you wrote seems to be to pretty much be 'it' in a nutshell, IMHO.
And the thread at the DUmp is chugging along as well. It's up to 21 posts now.
Yup, I think when the dust settles, it will be found out that he was 'pranked', and there was never any real danger to the wise=ass kids.
No. Priscilla Beaulieu was born on May 24, 1945. She married Elvis at age 21 on May 1, 1967.
I could see my son and his friends sitting around thinking it would be funny to "egg on" the gay.
Exactly. When I was that age, that would have been high entertainment. And I'm sure, once they had the fruits of their entrapment in hand, they couldn't resist emailing them around to all their friends. And once you do that, you lose control of distribution ...
Wound up pretty tight, aren't you?
Were you one of Mark Foley's "special" pages?
The same Kirk Fordham who on Tuesday said he didn't have any inkling of Foley's problem with pages. Then on Wednesday, he said he told the leadership about it years ago. Looks like he might have to go back to Tuesday's version.
Elvis didn't marry his cousin. I think Jerry Lee Lewis did though. I also think she was 13.
"Oh, bloody brilliant. And ABC News just swallowed it whole, right"
Is ABC gay also?
the whole foley affair is a net negative for the GOP. The guy resigned so fast I can only conclude there may be more to come. People who are completely innocent of something do not resign within 24 hours of a scandal generally.
The media fraud in this case is the age of the recipient, which was falsely depicted as being a minor IIRC. Unfortunately, the IM's themselves do not appear to have been faked, unlike the CBS/TX ANG case you refer to.
Amen to that. Wouldn't be surprised if he might be suicidal. He needs his family.
I am not buying it either. This kid is arrogant and would sell his mother to get ahead. Prank doesn't end up in Dem operatives hands.
ROFLMAO!!! We can have Dan Rather deliver it!
Now that depends on the file date/time stamp, which changes every time the log file is edited or appended to. If the date/time stamp is, say, a week ago today to impact a Friday media dump, then we know it's been doctored up.
Did you read the story? It says it was a set up. He really did say the things it says he said. The page only had to be over 16 to be legal. I had this impression reading it that the page didn't sound all that into it.
