According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

Heck, I've been saying since Edmond's identity was revealed that it sounded like the page was making a fool of Foley in the IM exchange. I have a son, not much older than Foley and I could see a kid leading this guy on, as a joke.
He didn't do a very good job for that client, eh?

FOLKS, these are the people who don't understand how the internet FORUMS (not to be confused with blogs) are vastly superior to the one way media. What can we expect from people who are dependent on people NOT discoving forums vs open diaries of blogs.
This story continues to have the behind the curve traction of the dinosaur media. They are 24 to 48 hours behind the data points. CNN is just pushing the leftwing take the house wet dream spin they don't care about any facts.

Certain people will always believe them, but not the majority.
Someone on another thread (don't remember whom or which thread) was bemoaning that we never win.........that we lose to the MSM, etc.
But then I thought.........just look at the elections, not the garbage dump in the MSM. We WIN the elections. We HAVE the House, the Senate and the White House in spite of the garbage. We now have a means with which to get the truth out, and IMO, it's working.

Having called for Republicans to roll over and sacrifice Hastert to the gods (Dems), he is now whining about the fact we didn't roll over and we've been subject to "embarrssment".
Which I guess makes sense. Since one of the politicians he's been shilling for of late is Senator Frist in his presidential bid. Senator Frist, as we're all aware, quite fond of rolling over and appeasing the gods of liberalism.
One of the problems with the conservative movement, imo, is that crybabies worried about "image" and about what those mean bad meanies on the Left aisle will say...would have us appease them for fear of getting a black eye now and then. The fact the other person ends up in traction while we end up with a shiner notwithstanding, even a scratch is too much to tolerate on their end. And they seek to lead the conservative movement in the 21st century.
They are of as little use to the conservative movement as the Rockefeller's of the past.
The conservatives deserving praise are the scrappy young blogs for the most part putting up with the "scorn" of their elders on the blogosphere because they actually give a damn about such a thing as truth, and fairness and justice. They are the ones leading the battle on this and if these 'elder" blogs aren't careful their readership is going to abandon them and go where the real guts and glory on the net resides. And, oh yeah, they don't mind a black eye or two. There are exceptions. Drudge is extablished, though not a blog. LGF hasn't rolled over. Surprising enough Hugh has been fairly scrappy on the matter.
But the weak sister of the movement can either shut up, take a hike, or prepare to be surpassed with conservatives with a spine.
It is GOOD to hear what's going on in the 'home' district. VERY encouraging.

Gotta admit, the Democrats played this scandal well. Perfect timing for them.
There are somethimg over 200,000 registered FREEPERS. Subtract the multiple nic, the trolls, and the inactives and we still are a mighty bunch. It isn't just our numbers, but the fact that all of us know people who aren't on line and we tell them what we know. That really DOES add up to a whole LOT of people.
My son was just telling me about how ashamed of his generation he is, their leftist ways. I told him they aren't all like that it's just they get on the news because they are leftist.

Fordham is a homosexual who used to be Foley's chief of staff.
He was asked to resign (fired) because apparently he had personal knowledge and never disclosed it because he was protecting Foley being in the closet.
Now Fordham is selling the BS that he magicall did tell hassert but like cassandra nobody listened to him. This is all lacking in credibility because there is ZERO documentation of ANY Fordham report.
Like many homosexuals, Fordham has discovered the Democrats have found their Useful Idiot status has been revoked.

Actually the media KNOWS voters are angry but they are not reporting the DIRECTION of the anger.
We the public are angry at the democrats who have foisted an environment where predators like Foley could not be fired or outed. Imagine the MSM ourage at a resignation fight over the innocuos emails. It would have been a WORSE media feeding frenzy.
The good news is that this has made it much easir to jeteson homosexuals discovered in ones employ.
