CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
Yes, and so are all these other Gays on the Hill that David Corn is going to out!!
So a GAY page had to give his IM to Foley??? hmmmmmmmm.
"ROFL! Rush had just posted this scenario a few minutes early."
Much as I respect Rush, I can't help but wonder if he had info this was coming down when he made those comments.
Wonder who that is?
Wvery time the computer is turned on, the IM software will "run home to mama" to announce your presence automatically.
So, it could be someone else turning on his computer.
It was mentioned in an Oklahoma news article, which also mentioned his anonymous friends, and mentioned that the young man had hired a criminal defense attorney.
Sorry, I don't remember the site, I've looked at a lot of them, today.
These people will be charged because it was a LIE !! Maybe they will charge them under RICO!!
When a poster's sex is unknown, one should just ignore using any "titles".
Good point - how would you know which jurisdiction's laws apply if one party is in DC and another is in GA, for example ?
Hastert did not defend Jefferson..he was defending the Congress's powers. I did not like it..but I kept up enough to know he was not defending Jefferson the individual..but trying to protect some powers the Congress had always assumed it had.
So when a GAY congressman IM's an underage kid (that admits he is UNDER 18) and ivites him over for drinks (illegal).. we can not assume this congressman "INTENDS US(underage male boy) HARM"...
I rightfully assumed this congressman wanted to molest the kid right then and there... He already was breaking one rule in offering alcohol... ...
Anyone and everyone knew what he intended.. and it was harm to most of us with any moral thread of what is right.
Well, it does sound possible. But it could be a coincidence. Stranger things have happened.
I am with you 100%. If it was a prank, he wouldn't have set by and watch Foley resign. It became a prank AFTER he hired Stephen Jones, McVeigh's attorney.
Yes...Stephen Jones does NOT get hired to deal with a PRANK!!
the problem is the MSM is NOT questioning ANYTHING.
Shepard Smith's show implied dozens of pages are coming forward to confirm foley's conduct. They also IMPLY Speaker Hasser knew everything.
THey doe not even touch CREW or Pelosi having advance knowledge.
yeah, {sigh} - sometimes, esp on a thread like this when I see the same crap post after post I just start screaming. When did we stop teaching logic in schools again ?
As I like to say, there are none so blind as those who refuse to see...
That is why I don't like all those named Pat, Chris, Kelly, etc. Just joking folks!!!!
I, and others, are saying there is much more to this. I've said that all along---that a single GOP congressman even fondling a page is not grounds for the broughaha that has followed. There is more, but I don't know what it is. Sorry if that doesn't satisfy you. When I figure more out, or have a theory, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I still say we are all missing something really big.
