Yes, MISS is for an unmarried woman and MRS> is for a married one. When in doubt, the old rules said address a "woman of a certain aged" as MRS.; back then, most women were married. In the 1970s, the feminazis finally browbeat everyone to use the stupid "Ms." and I'm still objecting to it. I AM NOT A MANUSCRIPT! LOL

When a poster's sex is unknown, one should just ignore using any "titles".
