Right, Middle America will respond to this scandal by voting in droves for the pro-gay party.

Funny how every time an election comes around the Dem put out the books, the scandals etc . like clockwork. The Repubs are as clueless and unpredared as every when it comes.

Scary to think that these are the people who in the country...

Obviously it hasn't occurred to this hack at Newsweak that if (when) the dems lose AGAIN it's because they have absolutely nothing to offer. Americans would like to see the dems come up with a PLAN that's more than anti-Bush, anti-war, and anti-America; and the dems' salivating over this Foley thing isn't really a plan, either.

Then came the Foley Scandal. If the Democrats can’t take the Hill now, they deserve to go the way of the Whigs.

What's this? I thought the Dems were ahead and taking the House was a cinch and winning the Senate was a likely prospect! What's this about the Foley scandal putting the Dems over the top? Is the MSM admitting the Dems didn't have it sewn up before? I'm so confused!

If voting Republican this election ensures this immoral crop is destroyed, vote Republican.

If the democrats do win - it won't be because of their ideas (though they will scream it was so). It will be because of the planned outing of a pedophile and inaccurate guilt by association.

There are still a few weeks before the election. Let's pray the party of abortion overplays its hand.

An Iraq war that has cost us...the good will of the world

I'm really extra-sick of that particular lie. The way most of "the world" expressed its good will toward the US on 9/11 was by dancing in the streets, firing guns in the air and handing out candy.

Anyone notice what is missing in the list of Dem "advantages" in the first two paragraphs? Like their own agenda or issues?

Wow. What hypocrisy! The sex scandals of the decades involving Ted Kennedy who actually let a woman DIE, Barney who ran a male prostitute ring in his basement, and Bill Clinton with everything in skirts and a rape or two are no big deal! But emails to pages are supposed to bring down the entire party! Why? Because the MSM will treat this different than the others, and we all know it. Incredible! The dims October surprise. They knew this for a long time, and yet they don't have to resign do they? They may have set the entire thing up.

"While the Beltway is trying to figure out whether Speaker Denny Hastert can save his job (he is dangling by thread)"

Yeah . . .

that's it . . .

That's the ticket!

Why is it so important to Howard Fineman that the democrats win? That is the most important question, and Howard is only representative of his profession.

Of course we know the answer to that question, so here is another one.

Will we allow them that pleasure?

The hypocrite dems are trying their utmost to make hay out of this, but can you imagine the outcry from the gay agenda left if Foley had been "quietly asked to resign" by the Republican leadership two years ago?

"The homophobe republicans are at it again!"

"Why don't they deal with the REAL corruption in their party?"

"All he did was flirt online with a page. That's not as bad as war!"

"Whaaaaaah!"

This isn't much of a sex scandal. There's no sex.

Thanks to Bill Clinton, this so-called sex scandal seems pretty tame.

If they [the emails]were so benign why did they warn Foley to have no further contact with the boy in question?

Because the parents requested it, Howard.

And if they did warn Foley, why didn’t they launch an investigation?

Because there was nothing on which to launch an investigation as determined by several news organizations and the FBI. Howard, you are a dishonest hack. Have you no shame????

"....the real world is focused on children: in this case, the 16-year-old congressional pages.

Why should we care about them? They knew the score, and knew how to tell Foley to get lost. They're 16, not 6.

This is what every young person should know, and be taught. If an older man or woman comes on to you, give him or her the brushoff.

although much is being made of this today, it appears to me that it isn't going to go anywhere. I think we are handling it well.

Just like a Democrat to try to make hay over scandal that features part of the mai agenda for the Demo party: Homosexual rights.
