I'm really extra-sick of that particular lie. The way most of "the world" expressed its good will toward the US on 9/11 was by dancing in the streets, firing guns in the air and handing out candy.
Me too, and I hear it said by everyone from political pundits to sportswriters. Yes, if we had only allowed the wonderful Saddam Hussein to stay in power the whole world would just love us!
Fact is, Bush would be hated no matter what, even if 9/11 and the Iraq war never happened. He would have been accused of starving children, not caring enough about AIDS, forcing WalMart on the world, or whatever other memes the lefists of the world like to employ.
