Just breaking on CNN
So....the e-mail asking for a pic was to one kid and the disgusting, pedophile pervert IM's were sent to a different kid? Were the pervert IM's to an intern?
Yes, it was wrong for me to post all those details. I admit that. However, at least I found those details. I unearthed heretofore unknown names, dates, photos, etc. surrounding this story. At least I provided substance. All you seemed to offer was criticism. Pretty sad.
Agreed
Nothing to see here, move along.
Sorry, but it ain't gonna be that easy to brush aside the question, "What did they know, and when did they know it?" Already there are conflicts in the public pronouncements about Leadership's reaction to Foley's "transgressions." Yes, the whole truth must and will be ascertained about other email communications (besides the one instance referenced in the press release) and there is probably more to be revealed as to Foley's "activity."
I do hope there is no complicity to cover this up on the part of Leadership, but just as in the Church scandals often the first reports are not the most complete. We will see in the coming days/weeks if there is more evidence about Foley and what he has done besides a few dozen scandalous emails.
What stated that? One of the MSM papers? CNN? Yep, those are credible sources.

I would hope the Republican Party would be more forthcoming with the truth about these homosexual scandals within than the Catholic Church has been about its own sordid affairs.
Oh just stow it......and take some English lessons. Jesus............
I totally agree with you.
To a different page I believe.
Yep. Foley is just one compassionate catamite-courting congressman who got caught. I'll bet there are PLENTY of them - chasing skirts and shorts - arrogantly thinking they will never get caught
It's more than that, though. This scumbag was pretending to be a defender of kids against Internet predators at the same time he was doing this.
Guess he was tough on other predators because he wanted to keep 'em all for himself....
Sick bump...
Until this evening, I hadn't seen anything which stated that the parents contacted congress to make this stop. The events, as I understood them, were that the kid sent the e-mails to someone one the hill. It didn't even sound, originally, as though he were trying to make a formal complaint, but sent the e-mails to someone that he still knew there.
I'm not sure that the contact between the parents and the whomever from congress was as formal, or as serious as you are posting here.
If all gays are guilty of messing with kids, automatically, we have more problems than this.
I have been formulating my own House ratings recently, and you and I agree on most things. I have Foley's seat as more vulnerable, for one. I have Boehlert's seat a little bit safer for us, but that's just a feeling on my part maybe. I have Ney and Northup in more trouble and Chabot's seat and Drake in less trouble. I also have Pryce in less trouble and I think Schmidt is my list
Lastly I am still not ready to remove Cubin from my vulnerable list. She did horribly in the primaries and the last poll I saw was Rasmussen (granted, in May) but she only was leading by 4. If there's a more recent poll, by the way, I would be glad to hear of it.
Schmidt is listed at #34, Northup at #35, and Cubin at #37. If you'd like I can add you to my informal ping list that I use mainly for when I post my ratings. I'd be interested to see your list if you happen to post it, BTW.
Please do add me to your ping list. I should be posting my ratings in the next couple of days. (However, I'm wary of doing so given the responses I often get after posting simple poll results... since I do predict not-negligible GOP losses in the House at this point.)
Yeah, I've been somewhat defensive on that myself lately, but oh well. Whoever doesn't like my ratings should just do themselves a favor and go read something else.
