Yeah. Those "various things" are known as the amendments of the Constitution of the United States where it tells us that Presidents are elected by an electoral vote, not a popular vote.
Wish Newsweek still came to the house so I could cancel!
Surprise surprise...
Wasn't that a prerequisite?
Cancel all magazine and newspaper subscriptions. They are 95% socialist, anti-captialist, anti-American, filled with lies, distortions, leftist propaganda and sensationalist BS.
Mom!
"The incoming top editor of "Newsweek" magazine, Jon Meacham, cast aspersions on the legitimacy of President Bush on the same "Imus in the Morning" broadcast."
This out of NEWSWEAK????? Surely you joke? When Newsweak actually reports news without a liberal slant all over the place then it will be news - until then it is just more of the same subscription suicide. When, oh when, will this magazine finally just DIE?????
Mr. Meacham. If you don't like how presidents are elected according to the constitution of this country which is the little "something" you claim prevented the mentally ill Al Gore from being president, may I suggest you leave it and take your asshat seditionist rag with you??
Gore was elected by the American people but not allowed to serve because of various things."
Yeah, various things. Like the United States Constitution, for one. And the fact that you cant yet whine it away.
So Mr. Meacham, does this mean President Bush gets to run again in 2008 since according to you he was only elected to one term so far?
We get Newsweek in the office I work at and they have a section every week called "conventional wisdom", which rates 6 people/things each week with an "up" arrow (good), "down" arrow (bad) or two arrows pointing in opposite directions (for neutral).
I have been informally tracking this section for months because President Bush is featured EVERY week, and EVERY week he gets a down arrow for something he did the week before.
Not even a "let's throw our 3 conservative readers a bone" neutral arrow now and then. Complete bias...
Clinton, you know, greatest Democratic politician since Johnson
I have to agree with him on that point.
Worst.
Party.
Ever.
Wasn't Newsweek one of the five media outlets to perform their own recount in Florida and determined that Bush won?
"The Days of Whine and Poses!"

Nothing
Carolers
I'm not sure of any publications that did a recount who came to any other conclusions, and I am sure it wasn't for a lack of trying.
Out of morbid curiosity, I occasionally read Newsweek and the bias is stunning...worse than TIME in my opinion and that's saying something.
LMAO!!! That's funny right there. I don't care who you are.
Hey, he should be able to run in 2008 and 2012 since they believe there were some "irregularities" in Ohio!
So Editor Meacham declares Gore the winner? Is that the same Gore who didn't want to count the ballots from American servicemen and women?
