Thought it would be a good idea to discuss the upcoming interview where we already know Clinton loses it with Wallacae here. I for one am anxious to see it.

I gotta say, just letting him go on, and on, and on this way allowed clinton to do particularly bad damage to himself.

During Clintoon's ranting and raving and shouting down Chris Wallace about how the right wing is out to get him, I thought I heard someone in the background say "Oh, man!"

He was lying. When the important time came, he was no where to be found to give the order.

And Richard Clarke was the ONLY person fighting terrorism, you know. I'm sure that will come as a surprise to hundreds of people in the CIA and FBI, for starters.

Man, this is something!! It's one thing for the DBM/dems to lose their minds like they have, but to see Clinton, the absolute epitomy of Charlatry come out and blow his top, blaming everybody but himself, and some rightwing cabal, (Like his wife did, rightwing conspiracy)is so over the top it reeks of a setup!

This guy is such a loser, and I echo Dan Burton's famous word: SCUMBAG!

"clintoon does nothing without ulterior motives. Ever."

That is an excellent point. With the Clintons, what you will can ALWAYS expect that what ever move they make is well planned out, completely thought through, and timed to have the maximum political effect. Never underestimate them. Having said that, I do think that this POS former president and national disgrace did lose his self-control as he ranted and raved about "the raht-wangers."

"Every even numbered year they come up with some security issue".....

Here we go Bubba, now contradict what you got so blasted mad about in the first part of the interview. He KNOWS the reason the dems have been hurt so badly in the past 3 elections, is because of his own TERRIBLE LEGACY on national security.

Did or is, anyone taping this interview?

The transcript doesn't reflect something.

At this point (early in the interview)

WALLACE: So what is it that you can do as a former president?

CLINTON: So what you can do as a former president is — you don't have the wide range of power, so you have to concentrate on fewer things. But you are less at the mercy of unfolding events.

So if I say, look, we're going to work on the economic empowerment of poor people, on fighting AIDS and other diseases, on trying to bridge the religious and political differences between people, and on trying to, you know, avoid the worst calamities of climate change and help to revitalize the economy in the process, I can actually do that.

I mean, because tomorrow when I get up, if there's a bad headline in the paper, it's President Bush's responsibility, not mine. That's the joy of being a former president. And it is true that if you live long enough and you really have great discipline in the way you do this, like this CGI, you might be able to affect as many lives, or more, for the good as you did as president.

The bolded portion, instead of 'responsibility', Clinton started to say 'fault'. My son and I both heard 'fau' before he corrected himself.

Don't you know that Bill Clinton is the smartest man in the World?

Sure. And Bush is stupid.

I think what happened re: his socks is that he did so much moving around and half jumping out of his chair his pants have moved way up his leg. But ya think'd he would have fixed it!

Does anyone wonder if he lost some of his touch after his health problems?

Between this and the Path to 9/11 gaffe seriously makes me wonder. In both cases, he's made himself look like a big jerk and I can't decide if the issue is that the mainstream media doesn't have the kind of power they did 8 years ago to cover for him or if it's that he's just not as quick on his feet as he used to be.

Once again, you would never see Bush or Condi or Cheney completely lose their cool in an interview like this with, say, Dan Rather or Katie Couric.

Fox is loving the controversy over this interview. They were plugging it on Fox Radio newsbreaks all day today.
