Watch how Clinton manages the interview:

1. In his statements, he makes so many charges that it's impossible to address them.
2. He frames the argument as being on unfair grounds (Fox News)
3. Only ONCE does he admit fault, showing to his fans that he can accept fault. The hope is that they believe that he has no other things to apologize for.
4. He shows he's the consummate Machiavellian.

No, I don't believe you addressed my point, which was in response to this post of yours:

He had to know that he was going to get asked questions similar to what he was asked (particularly on FN) and he was prepared to react exactly as he did -IMHO..

And no, I DON'T believe he had this morning's response scripted, WHICH includes the coming up out of his chair and into Wallace's face, and the tapping of Chris's person.

THAT an attempt at intimidation, pure and simple; that was an attempt to 'tame' Chris, to get him to lay off that line of questioning.

He did not look rational or reasoned at that time; it was raw emotion. It was almost, I think, on the verge of flailing about for answers and comeback, which accounts for his inaccurate, misleading, off-the-mark response.

THAT is not the result of 'scripting'.

Clinton 'scripted' is easy, calculated dissembling, and bending of the facts in a folksy manner, this was none of that.

Chris Wallace just said that it was his intent to ask ONE question about clinton's pre-9/11 prevention actions then move on. But clinton would not move on. So....I don't think it was Chris' intention to grill clinton. And indeed, he didn't. Clinton started the grill, marinated himself, and jumped on, and cooked himself until well-done.

Amazing how he talks about dividing. Right after OKC, which, by the way, absolutely had Iraqi involvement, he created the VRWC and divided left and right. It saved his presidency.
