Jim and all you FReepers have made a big difference in the world. Thank you, we are all better off, and I'm proud to be on the team.

Words cannot express how your service, and that of your brothers and sisters before and after you, gave us this freedom for the people.
You have challenged many to think, to act, to be instructed in fidelity, country, loyalty and the values not taught by homes or schools these days. You've made better spouses, better parents, better Americans of us all.
There are media and the top radio hosts in the country... stopping by to see what concerns the people, i'm positive they thank you also.
You have affected many teenagers who searched to find meaning after the horrible days of September 11th, when most around them couldn't or refused to give them the answers... why? They, along with all our fine men and women serving today... will also be part of this next great generation. A generation who knows sacrifice, honor and the precious gift of their freedom.
At times I wonder what will happen to this republic... but as long as someone can see one discussion or post, to reflect on and research for themselves... to think, and question... I know we'll be fine.
Tis a wonderful legacy you will leave... What a Tea Party!
To my fellow freepers, my family:
Get to work.

Thank you, Jim. I registered in December 2000, and have been getting my news and information here ever since. I don't watch the MSM at all any more, and often know the news-of-the-day before I hear it reported on FNC or the radio.
Thank you for doing a great service for freedom of the press and for the freedom of all Americans! God bless you and your family.

I guess you felt like Abraham before going into Sodom and Gomorrah... Lord, what if I can find twenty good men?... Ummm... how about ten?, when you started.
Well, the cities are burning and you're not looking back.
BTW, when will we get the counter-version of CSPAN?

I didn't realize that my Bill Clinton Joke-of-the-Day page was older than Free Republic. Granted, that page closed up shop with the Clinton administration did. The tenth anniversary passed a month and a half ago, and I didn't care. That page's mission was over.
Here's to seeing Free Republic continuing its mission for a good long time!

Thanks Jim and everyone else who makes a positive contribution to the discourse. I found this place after Michael Reagan in 1996, and that was in the early days of FR. I lurked for a couple of years, then joined in 1999, and since then I have watched probably 50 hours total of television news, and that was entirely by accident, I assure you. Let's see... 9/11, election returns, the tidal wave, the hurricane (Katrina, I think), that poor girl in the Bahamas, and a few other times, because other people were watching. But I always know what is happening, because of my friends who don't even know me, that read the news and post the important stuff. If it isn't on Free Republic, it isn't important.
