Hi bestest girlfriend, thank you for the new thread. Good job.
I had to use chemical warfare on it.
It wasn't as big as the one in that picture (which several friends delighted in sending me back then), but it was pretty darn big.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. Nahum 1:7
Nineveh was in trouble with God. Big trouble! Despite the good work of the reluctant prophet Jonah, Nineveh had returned to its evil ways. The Ninevites had oppressed other countries, worshiped idols, and performed acts of cruelty.
God saw this evil, and through the words of Nahum He spoke of Ninevehs coming destruction, using words such as wrath and vengeance. Nineveh was about to face judgment.
Why would Gods prophet tell the people of Judah about this? How could Nahums frightening words help those who lived in the Promised Land?
There is help for answering those questions in Nahum 1:7-8. His prophecy of the destruction of those who reject God stands in sharp contrast to Gods promise to those who trust in Him. The godly, rather than facing judgment, would be cared for. They would have a refuge in Him.
God is not one-sided. He provides refuge, help, and comfort for those who trust Him, and He also sends judgment against those who disobey His standards.
The message for us is the same as it was for Judah. Through trust and obedience, we can enjoy the comfort of Gods refugeeven in times of trouble.

Lord, Please Bless Our Troops, they're fighting for our Freedom.
Prayers going up.
Thanks for today's thread!
Darling husband never saw a camel spider while in Iraq, but they all got into the habit of shaking the boots upside down before putting them on in the mornings. He did experience a few of those ferocious-looking sandstorms, however.
May the Lord bless and protect our brave troops. Each and every day, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Wow, Fatima...that is a buncha strange stuff. Ick on the spiders. I think our tarantulas are quite big enough, thand you very much! LOL!
Thanks for opening the Canteen for us tonight, sweetie! (((hugs)))
Shoot! I saw that spider picture right here on FR a couple years ago, and......... well.......... I sorta believed it...........well...........y'know........
I HATE FRIKIN" SPIDERS!
Are you nuts?
I'm gonna have nightmares tonight!
Camel spiders are no Urban Legend although the ones in the pic are not as large as they appear due to good use of perspective. However all the stuff about them being aggressive and flesh sucking predators is just legend. The ones I saw were about a hand size. Big, but not fearsome.
The picture of the sand storm is real. That is part of the expat camp at Al Asad air base in Iraq. I have several other shots from diferent angles and can even show you my hooch in some of them. Definately NOT an urban legend.
Yucky! Yucky! Yucky!! fatima....((HUGS)) those spiders are YUCKY!!!!!
Evening fatima! :)
Interesting thread, fatima! *HUGS!*
