Pirates of the Caribbean, The best. Johnny er, Capt Jack Sparrow does it again. I have seen #3 in the works now. It is going to probably be just as good.

(Seen trailers coming and going from studio lot).

All is well - just a little busier than usual! I'm training a couple of new people at work, spent a week with my parents in southern MO at the beginning of the month - very nice, but I spent time visiting in person rather than on line.

And, of course, the canteen threads get incredibly HUGH!

How's life treating you?

All is well sweetie! Hope the same for you. United 93 is in my DVD player now. I need to finally watch it. *Hugs*

Hugs out to you Connie. I watched this in cinema, sneaking in a small bottle of scotch because I thought it would hurt a bunch. It was technically brilliant and I didn't really start crying until the last few minutes (and then continuously). I will buy the DVD too. Greengrass established himself as a director for me with this picture. I wish him much good box office in the future.

I wanted to see that movie, but never got around to it. Is it on DVD yet or am I behind the times? Probably so!

Great to see you in the Canteen, jimfree!!
Thanks for sharing your pick with our Troops!

I particularly enjoyed Hollywoodland. While it played a little fast and loose with the facts of George Reeves death (for instance the house was totally wrong), I think it did a great job of portraying George Reeves and the times he lived in.

I'm so far behind on the movie thing, by the time I see them they are on the dollar rack. But I did see Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Sedgewick and it was pretty good.

It's been a slow year for movies but I'm really pumped for the upcoming WWI epic "Flyboys". No one has ever duplicated Howard Hughes achievements in "Hell's Angels" where he had real pilots performing real maneuvers while camera-planes were put in real peril just to get the shots. One veteran pilot died for that movie.

Now that CGI is coming close to perfection I'm anxious to see if modern technology and evolved production skill can approach that level of thrill last seen 76 years ago.
