It does no good in my opinion. It becomes such a source of stress for both the child & the parent.

But then again....I see I misspelled "school"! Maybe I needed more homework! LOLOL

For belly laughs, Cars. It's a kids movie, but there's lot of stuff that goes right over the kids' heads, but the adults "get it", at least the ones old enough to be the Grandparents. I saw it with our great nieces, whom we have custody of.

But the best movie I saw was United 93. 'nuff said.

I wanted to take my son to that. He showed absolutely no interest.

MoJo's Pick: United 93 and Cars

Great minds think alike? I posted before I read yours, but mine were the same.

Probably a good thing you didn't. I heard that it was VERY sad!

Thanks for opening the Canteen, Mojo!

I think the last film that I saw was Friday Night Lights....and that was more than a year ago. Movies suck so bad lately, I just don't bother.

I WILL see United 93 whenever I can get up the courage...and also the one about 9-11. Not now, though. =\

We were at camp for a week in July with no TV or video games (not even a handheld). I thought he'd go through withdrawal. They showed two movies at camp that week. The first was the Chronicles of Narnia, and he sat there for an hour waiting for the technical difficulties to be dealt with and then sat through the entire film.

Later in the week, "8 below" was being shown. Despite withdrawal and maybe a little homesickness, he still wouldn't go see it. Wouldn't even get it a 5-minute chance. Oh, well. Maybe I'll rent it sometime or catch it on cable.

I was given Narnia but still haven't seen it, but I need to. I am very lazy and procrastinate a lot! :D
