Three of Americas most controversial women Gloria Steinem, Jane Fonda, and Rosie ODonnell just launched an all-women-run radio network, promising to offer programming thats less polarizing than the typical all-talk AM radio fare.
A women-centered radio network isnt a bad idea: Lots of successful media outlets specifically target women, from sappy television romances on Lifetime and Oxygen to family-centered morning shows and magazines. The new all-women creation, Greenstone Media, follows a similar model. It endeavors to be entertaining as well as informative, and relate to womens everyday challenges with family and work. Steinem told Reuters that the network has a different spirit, will offer more community and show respect for different points of view, instead of constant arguing....
Theres something delicious about a feminist icon like Steinem creating such feminine programming when so much of the feminist movement still rejects the idea that men and women are different.

I do not think it is appropriate to call Rose O'Donnell 'a fat-assed lesibian.'
She also has an abnormally big fat head.
That sucker has got to be at least 25lbs.
Laura Ingraham just reported that Air America is or has officially declared bankruptcy. Ahhhhhhhhh!
You're being sarcastic, Right?
We should call it The dyke and her dyklets offer advise to women of multicultural diversity.
Hopefully they'll go the way of Air America. They are the last 3 women I'd want to listen to (even if I wasn't a conserative woman from a blue state).
This is priceless. The very people who have been ranting about sex discrimination for years have decided that they are exempt from the laws that others must follow.
Would be hilarious if someone hit them with an EEOC complaint/civil lawsuit for sex discrimination in hiring.
Yeah and if these typical American women can manage to relate to anything normal I'd like to know what it is!
Rush yesterday:
WPMS
WCRY
WBI-ITCH
Seems to me that Lifetime is more devoted to stereotyping all males as abusive and to male-bashing in general than to sappy romances....
I can be more specific:
1. Man abuses woman (preferably Meredith Baxter)
2. Woman tries police. They do nothing.
3. Woman sets man on fire, preferably in bed
4. Defense attorney makes jury cry.
5. Woman gets acquitted.
6. More crying.
7. Repeat next week.
hahahahahahahahahah
I want that bumper sticker!!!!
"I do not think it is appropriate to call Rose O'Donnell 'a fat-assed lesbian.' She also has an abnormally big fat head."
OK:
Just what America wants to listen to:
A traitor;
A baby-killer;
And a fat-assed lesbian with an abnormally big fat head.
And don't forget WDYK (that was Mr. Snurdlys' contribution).
If by "controversial" they mean "unbelievably annoying"......
"I am a woman would NEVER listen to their tripe, and I RESENT their insistance in lumping ME with their idiotic group."
Double-Dog Dittos, Sister! I also don't watch any of those so-called "Networks for Women" or The View or Oprah. What a waste of time!
Whew!! Can't wait to not listen to this radio network!! Jane . . . . . Gloria!!?? . . . . . . ROSIE!!!!????? OMG!!!
I guess Hillary is too busy (thank GOD)!!
Is the author Carrie Lukas the 'Carrie' behind SEX AND THE CITY?
Exactly. I don't listen to Rush and Mark Levin cause they are 'polarizing'! I listen to them because I mostly agree with them!
Did anyone start the death watch clock?
Soap operas are one of the longest-running TV genres there is.
Wonder what took these airheads so long to figure this out.
Sounds about right
