Witnesses: Gunfire, explosions near U.S. embassy in Damascus
By Haaretz Service and news agencies
Syrian security forces surrounded the U.S. embassy in Damascus early on Tuesday and sealed off the area, witnesses said, adding that heavy gunfire and explosions had been heard in the area.
"It appears that the embassy is coming under attack," one resident in the area told Reuters.
There was no independent confirmation of the initial reports.
But Syria has nothing to do with terrorism and the only way to fight make believe terrorism is with hugs, kisses and dialog!!!/s
Hummm.
Now, now - let's not over react. We don't know that terrorists have done this. More likely, it was our own government paid off by the Israeli Jews to make Syria look bad.
(/sarcasm)
Syrians are notoriously two-faced, they appear to be our friend at one time, while behind our backs assisting terrorists.
where are you getting this from? I dont see any news about this/
which isn't necessarily a good thing for us.
Your premise only applies to breaking news. FR has been first on several issues, Dan Rather to cite one.
CNN also speculating small-scale failed attack with a car-bomb. Syrian security forces apparently returned fire on perps.
They better be on our side - if attacked we will be in there doing our "investigating". Would slightly hinder their subversive operations I expect. Better to keep Americans occupied elsewhere.
cnn International says two gunman attacked the embassey and a carbomb went off. the attack was repelled.
ROFL! Thank you Algore frankin
Yep.
