It appears that the new format that cbs is using stinks. People that want the news aren't watching for the fluff stories.

CBS is a third place network for news. It does not matter who the anchor is.
Her sign off should be "Watch tomorrow, and I'll send you a ten dollar bill."

You have swerved into a very important point here. Network News Divisions have never made money for the parent companies. They've only existed at the beneficience of the entertainment divisions and because they had political clout.
As people become less and less dependent on Network News, their political clout lessens. There will come a time when the profit pinch is such that the networks just won't have to money pay for that luxury any more.
By the end of the decade, Network News, as we know it today, will cease to exist...

What did they expect? All that hype about how she was going to be different and that farce of the "you damn uglo-American, little people" tour you would have think the news would have been a tad different. But nooooo. The first day we get how tough the taliban is and great pictures of Suri Cruise. The second day we get a show case of "Iraq sucks and Bush sucks" push poll. She sucks and I hope CBS has their receipt because I would exchange her for the King of Queens reruns
I meant to tune in the night he was going to be on but had something come up. That would have been the only reason I tuned in, I can't see watching for any other reason.
Or "Watch tomorrow, or I'll shoot this dog."
