I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

Well, I don't think the reporter shown on last night's show realized that's what he was doing. In the scene with John O'Neill, if that were an actual event, it was pointed out to Miller the significance of the dagger. It's just that OBL would allow the media to film him when he wanted to get a message to his followers in more ways than just his words.

The Howard Dean wing nowadays are just apologists for the terrorists, and I have no doubts that if they could pull off the coup of the century and get an interview with OBL, they would, and not feel the least bit guilty for not telling the govt. about it until after it was done. They would NEVER be complicit in his capture. He'd be the goose that laid the golden egg for them.

I thought it was interesting in the show last night, when John Miller was interviewing Osama, it was OSAMA who actually used the term "Crusade" for the first time, well BEFORE 9/11. You remember when the usual suspects went ballistic when the President used the word Crusade after 9/11? Well, that's exactly what Osama planned; an Islamic Crusade against the West.

All I gotta ask is, has anyone seen Osama lately?

Yea, they cut the infrared....so what? They got the most important part. Who cares that they cut the infrared?

Good point. What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that last minute editing is done in many movies. Scenes are tightened for conciseness. Extraneous scenes are cut. Also, future showings, if any, of this will include commercials so it's necessary to get it down to 2:40 segments.

Yes, and it amazes me why nobody bothers to ask the troops on the ground what they want to do. Cut and run, or stay and finish the job? I know it's because they, the Dems, Left and the media don't care what the troops have to say. But since they are our first-line protectors, it should be their say and not the dopes in Washington.

Rush just said the cuts didn't change the essence of the film...........and that it was 'devastating' to the people in charge.......that would be CLINTON.

I didn't see it unedited, but I fully agree that what I saw last night is a death blow to any imagined Clinton 'legacy.'

I'd like to solicit opinions for the following.

Last night's show contained the following scene:

2 Americans, alongside Massoud and dozens of Northern Alliance, were purportedly ready to raid bin Laden's camp and kill or capture him. US authorities, however, would not authorize it.

This makes little sense. There were no US assets needed (no cruise missiles or bombs - just 2 men on the ground). Massoud could simply have said "OK guys, we'll do it without you 2, see you later". Why would Massoud need US authorization? - he was already at war with bin laden.

Clinton's legacy will follow him the rest of his life. There is blood on his and AlGore's hands.

I think Clinton is a slime, but please remember that the point in that clip was to remind us that it is America they hate and not any particular president.

Here is what I posted last night in regard to the "cut" about Clinton's impeachment.

(Instead of making the remarks about Clinton and the Republicans after him with impeachment, they instead insert):

O'Neill replies: "So it's OK if somebody kills bin Laden, as long as he didn't give the order. It's pathetic."

Is it just me, or does that sound WORSE than saying he's preoccupied with impeachment?

I read what you said this morning, Howlin, and I completely agree.

What they 'edited' that statement to is far worse for them than what they cut.

The word 'PATHETIC' is a killer.

Not to be picky or trite here, prairie........but I believe their 'legacy' will follow them even beyond their lives here on earth.

When the ones in power are too self-absorbed and apathetic to protect the American people against a monster like bin Laden as they were, the deaths that resulted are on their hands for eternity.
