Tom Gallagher may be a new conservative (for 5-6 years now) but even when he was liberal he was no more liberal than Charlie Crist is now.
Crist is known to be pro-choice, pro-huge spending increases, which would only lead to tax increases.
In a general election match up against Davis or Smith he was ahead till he started airing commercials. On top of all his liberal flaws, the electorate doesn't seem to like him which was the original reason people were flocking to him instead of Gallagher. Now Gallagher is the more electable choice.
With 2 weeks to go to the primary we've got to wake up. We've got to make sure that an electable conservative, even a reformed conservative, wins the primary instead of a liberal, who's liberal on every issue and is now masquerading as a conservative. His posturing won't fly and will turn off voters.
I wish Jeb were able to run for a 3rd term which is the sense I'm getting from all other Republicans. But between Gallagher and Crist we've got to go with Gallagher and somehow get the word out.
He's divorced?.....Where did you hear that?
The biggest joke of that NewsMax email is that Crist is pro-life. He didn't even respond to the issues raised by Gallagher, such as Crist's pro-choice voting record. He just called them smears. The guy is beyond the pale and so's that email from NewsMax.
As to the rest of that email, on everything that's right Gallagher votes the same way. Unlike Crist, Gallagher has taken stands on purely conservative issues. And as to Crist being more electable, the more people see and hear of him the more people on the face were flocking to Davis. Davis didn't even air any serious commercials and already people are running away from Crist.
Now don't get me wrong. Please don't think I'm telling anyone to vote for that idiot Davis. But please vote Gallagher in the primary. This isn't California and if we want a Republican Governor we should be able to find a candidate who doesn't have a recent track record of acting like a California Democrat.
By the way, Darryl Rousson used to be a leader of the NAACP. He quit the dem party to help Crist but Rousson has also been seen with the mother of the teen who died in a state run boot camp. Martin Anderson died in state custody of suffocation because deputies covered his mouth and shoved ammonia tablets up his nose.
Just as a point of reference, Martin Anderson was a black teen. Crist is FL AG, he is not handling this investigation and his friend Darryl is shadowing the mother.
This is WHY Crist is bad for Florida. There's always something going on behind the curtain - always!

"I don't know Martin's family but put three and three together. Jeb calls Mel Sembler's wife Mrs. Ambassadorable, Brent Sembler is Crist's campaign manager and Darryl announced he was supporting Crist's campaign AND Darryl Rousson either did or does work for the Sembler Corporation.
Darryl stood by Gina Jones, Martin's mom in a press conference demanding that Charlie Crist do an investigation. (what kind of sham is that? He knows Crist on a personal basis). He could have just called Crist. Rousson wanted a photo-op to exploit this dead child.
Jeb enacted a Martin Anderson Bill which changed the name of Boot Camps to STAR Camps.
The Medical Examiner is in trouble but none of the deputies or the nurse have been charged with anything and Martin died on January 6th, 2006.
This is creepy. This is what you get w/Charlie Crist.
Personally I think they have to look for other ways to punish people who aren't a threat to society like the non-violent, non-rapist, non-murderer criminals (confiscation, staying home and being taken out every day for backbreaking labor for some time). Those who are a danger should usually be executed. Others who aren't shouldn't be locked up bored to death with only hard core criminals surrounding them and influencing them so that by the time they're finished they've become lifelong criminals too or just plain useless. But this isn't the issue.
Gallagher is also against peds. Most people are for shooting them. Charlie was AG and passed a bill that 99% of people would have had they been in his position. Mike Dukakis would have probably done the same in light of the horrific deaths of Jessica Lundsford and the other young victim. Why should we vote for a liberal like Crist because he did something that most others would have done too?

Thanks! Don't know anything about the Sarasota candidates (I'm in the county of insanity - Broward, albeit in an isolated Republican part of it), but statewide that's a great list.
I hope to go vote tomorrow....I am voting for Tom...Something about Crist just does not set well with me...I hope that we get some where close to what Jeb was...I guess that I can hope...
Dear [NVA],So hang tough, Gallagher supporters, if the absence of signs and bumper stickers is any indication, turnout will be light so your vote is extremely important.
Two weeks from now in the September 5th primary election, we will be deciding on the Republican Candidate to be our next Governor. This is a critically important decision and I urge you to take the time to vote.
I have endorsed Tom Gallagher for Governor because I believe that Tom best represents the conservative Republican values that are important for Florida's future. Tom has recently been endorsed by Dr. James Dobson, which gives us all a good indication of Tom's values.
Tom has been on Governor Bush's cabinet for the last 8 years and he has helped Jeb implement many of the ideas that have made Florida a better place to live.
I believe we need Tom to carry on these ideas. Tom has been very clear on the issues and his platform. Tom is Pro-Life, Tom is against amnesty for illegal immigrants, Tom is against civil unions for gay couples, and he has taken a position alongside Governor Bush to develop alternatives to the class size amendment which will cost taxpayers many billions to implement.
Tom has clear plans on many of the issues facing Florida, I encourage you to visit his web site www.TG2006.com and become familiar with his ideas.
Some polls show Tom running behind his opponent, however, in primaries low turnout polls are often wrong. So your vote in this race is critical. Please join me on September 5th and vote for Tom Gallagher for Governor.
Thanks
[Congressman] Dave Weldon
Good Luck with getting Gallagher as your candidate. As I told a friend of mine, I hope you guys have better luck then we did in OK in our recent primary.
Are any of your suggested school board candidates incumbents? I get the impression that the voters want to throw out any current school board members after the fraudulent way in which they pushed through extending the tax increase. The Superintendent should have resigned. Hopefully, the new members of the board will force the issue after election day.
I just moved a few miles. does anyone know what I must do about change of address for voting? How and when?
Somebody out there has a picture of Crist practically hugging Janet Reno. (!). Of course now when I really need it I can't find it. Help!
Claire.....Please call you local Board of Elections office....they can advise you regarding your change of address.
Your vote is critical and we want it to be counted!
Haven't found the photo but discovered this reference to it:
Escerpt:
"Last year, Crist said he did not think a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage was needed because a state law is already on the books.
"He praised the judges in the Schiavo case as heroes last year, and Stemberger is still talking about the dinner in Miami at which a smiling Crist posed for a photograph with Janet Reno."
Gallagher and Crist can't both be right

Few people realize that every single FL institution, (Governor Bush excluded), every legal, judicial, medical, societal, journalistic and even religious, from the office of Attorney General Charlie Crist on down through the ranks to the local police department, is arrayed against this woman.
This is a big case. Whatever happens to Terri has the potential to affect the entire U. S. population, a fact few people realize.

So actually, Charlie Crist's evil decision could affect all of us, or someone we love.
