GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen kidnapped two foreign journalists working for the Fox News television channel in Gaza on Monday, a witness said.
The witness, a Palestinian who worked with the two journalists, said one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman.
The Fox News bureau in Jerusalem said it was checking the report.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the abduction.
The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalist's transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to the bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.
The kidnappers then sped away with the two journalists.
Similar incidents in the past in Gaza have ended with the release, usually within hours, of kidnapped foreign journalists or aid workers.
Many of the abductions were carried out by Palestinians pressing a grievance against the Palestinian government or its security forces
I hope they they are released soon. They had better not hurt them or they will feel the wrath of Freepers everywhere.
Drudge says it's Steve Santani who was kidnapped!
And I forgot to add...many, many, many prayers and blessings for them, their families, and friends...
OMG. Prayers for Steve.
I hope they get them back safe and sound. Prayers sent
I couldn't find anything concrete on Tobin with respect to any military service. He does carry himself like someone who's been in the military.
Prayers for Steve Centanni and his cameraman.
I heard Steve Harrigan on the radio news.
Good point. They picked on U.S. citizens, and that was the wrong move...
OMG .... sending prayers

Prayers offered.
"Several foreigners have been kidnapped in Gaza in recent months with their abductors demanding jobs from the Palestinian Authority or the release of people being held in Palestinian jails. All those kidnapped have been released within hours without harm."
There is hope that it is simply local idiots wanting a job.

I don't know but my first thought was let's kick butt. Some have posted that they are often released. Praying that is so, here to. I wouldn't be too hard on the guys about the Shep/Jerry cracks while we were waiting though. Sometimes people use humor in stressful situations...If you noticed , no one wished them harm, only laughing that they would given them back to us. Just a thought.
eyespysomething heard Steve Harrigan!
That photo of Shep with a helmut on is priceless..
Per Drudge
OMG... praying hard for both...
Side note: CNN just reported that Dan Young, a CNN cameraman passed away suddenly yesterday after a bout with leukemia which he thought he had beaten.
If it was Shep, the girls would be throwing flowers into the streets as the men carried him around on their shoulders like a conquering hero. When they get back to the Hotel, they would have arrayed before him the choicest boys from all of Palestine.
