Syrians: We cannot use the roads to resupply Hezbollah. THey are all impassable.WHAT TO DO?
Hezbollah: Remove the mine fields of the Golan and bring the missles and ordnance through the Golan, make the Israelis bomb their own roads, they haven't the balls to send in ground troops, we will be resupplied!
Hudna! You gotta love it.

Oooooh good point. Hasn't it been theorized that Syria was the main recipient of the Iraqi WMD's? Think they have the capability to maintain and use those? I'm sure fellow Baathist Saddam had some of his people accompany the materials. That along with some soviet trained Syrians, they should be able to maintain them. I don't think Assad has what it takes to unilaterally strike Israel with WMD's and there is the outstanding friction between the predominantly secular, arab Baathist Syria and the Shia wacko Persians. If Syria acts, it'll probably be as a follow on / exploitation of anything Iran does.

No more bases in Saudi Arabia. Apart from a very small training program all the big stuff has left Saudi territory. Once Saddam went there was no further need for Coaliton airbases etc.

"In the evening there is trouble, by morning it is over...Damascus is a ruinious heap, men will never live there again..." The only question remaining is which deadly, irrational act of additional aggression will Assad trigger against Israel to bring about a fulfillment of Isaiah 17?

Pretty scary! :-)

Ivan might have been "only" 50 megatons. In comparison, the biggest the U.S. has detonated (or at admitted to, anyway) was only 15 megatons.
Ivan could have concievedly been a 100 megaton device, if the Soviets had not chosen to use a non-functioning "tamper"(lead, in this case). Had they used U-238 (depleted Uranium) instead, that would have been the 3rd stage of the fission-fusion-fission thermonuclear "hydrogen bomb" 3 stage reaction/detonation.
Here's an old pic, pre-detonation, of course ;)

The Saudi Air Force. Bases exist in Iraq and other Arab states in the region.

Me too, I am favor of allout war. I have seen enough of the Islamic Facists. Is there anywhere i can go to sign up for military duty at age 56? I can keep the powder dry and load and stuff.
Ask a recruiter about an age waiver. I'm 37 and will be commissioned tomorrow morning.

Not as crazy as you think.
They are de-mineing some transport routes. While the minefield 'shield' is down they moved in additional tanks 'just in case'.
They need the transport routes to quickly run in and resupply the hezbo's before the festivities begin next tuesday-ish.
