Mike Wallace (ABC) Finds Ahmadinejad 'Impressive'
KXNet ^ | 8/11/06 | KXNet

Posted on 08/11/2006 9:42:44 PM PDT by freedom44

In the interview, Ahmadinejad said of the Bush administration, "see how they talk down to my nation."

During the midst of the American hostage crisis in 1979, Wallace interviewed Iranian leader Khomeini, locking eyes with the cleric when he asked for a response to Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat calling Khomeini a lunatic.

Of Ahmadinejad, Wallace said, "He's an impressive fellow, this guy. He really is. He's obviously smart as hell."

Wallace said he was surprised to find that the Iranian president was still a college professor who taught a graduate-level course.

"You'll find him an interesting man," he said. "I expected more of a firebrand. I don't think he has the slightest doubt about how he feels ... about the American administration and the Zionist state. He comes across as more rational than I had expected."

Ahmadinejad, of course, is the same leader who routinely questions whether or not the holocaust actually happened in Europe and makes almost weekly calls to wipe Israel off the map.

And Wallace uses the word "rational" to describe this man.

Also, let Wallace's last comment about "the Zionist state" sink in for a moment. Wallace isn't quoting Ahamdinejad; those are Wallace's own words.

Zionist state. Nice, Mike.

Personally, this seems to be about equivalent to some enterprising reporter interviewing Hitler after Munich in the 1930's, listening to his spiel about how the "Jewry" is destroying Europe and then coming back and telling everyone at home about how Adolf seems pretty "rational."

The only difference between Hitler and Ahmadinejad being, of course, that Hitler eventually fulfilled his desires to slaughter Jews. So far Ahamdinejad has only been able to accomplish that through proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas.

"Throughout history, people have often commented on how personally engaging and intelligent some of the world's most notorious and ruthless killers where, including Hitler and Stalin.'

And Bill Clinton. People who meet him talk exactly like this.

Mike, Mike....

Really, the correct observation is that Mike Wallace appears to be

dumber than dirt.

1 The REAL title
Mike Wallace Interviews Iran's President
Try to use the real title. It really helps when people use the search engine.
2 Mike Wallace works for CBS (or if you prefer cBS) not ABC

3 Mike Wallace Finds Ahmadinejad 'Impressive', fine because I find him EXTREMELY naive...if not actually dumber than a (very small) pile of rocks.

If Wallace had interveiwed George Bush instead,he would have done everything he could of to embarrass him and probably said he found him to be a dunce and warmongering like the rest of the media would have, except for Neil Cavutto, would was very respectful to him.

Just as Dan Blather referred/deferred to Saddam as "Mr President", but always referrred to Pres. Bush as "Mr Bush".

This from the same man who makes venomous attacks on President Bush. It just shows you who the Bush haters are. Wallace is a despicable excuse for a human being and obviously that's why he's part of the liberal media. They can all go to hell.

Did you ever see the movie THE DEAD ZONE with Christopher Walken? Walken asks his Dr., a Holocaust survivor, if he knew what Hitler would end up doing, and he had the chance to kill him, would he. The Dr. thinks long and hard and says, YES. The 80 something year old Wallace should have killed him. But just like a typical liberal Jew, he rather believe the man who hates him and would like nothing more than to see him dead, is really not such a bad egg. Unbelievable.

Wallace is clearly senile.

Perhaps, but I'm a bit surprised to find he's an impressive fellow, this guy. He really is. He's obviously smart as hell. I expected more of a firebrand. I don't think he has the slightest doubt about how he feels ... about the American administration and the Zionist state. He comes across as more rational than I had expected.

Ok, I think that's fairly "apples to apples."

There is a boycott planned against CBS and its advertisers if they choose to run this program.

We believe it is wrong to show for the following reasons:
1. We are in a war on terror, and as a terrorist leader, we don't want him fueling fire.
2. He still threats to kill all Americans and Jews.
3. He still violates his own citizen's basic human rights.
4. He still refuses to heed the UN resolutions to stop his nuclear advancement.
5. Advertisers don't need to pay for his airtime.

Please contact your local affiliates, and the NY headquaters. http://www.cbstvdmg.com/affiliates

The Los Angeles CBS affiliates cover over 38 million homes.

Wallace said, "He's an impressive fellow, this guy. He really is. He's obviously smart as hell."

So he could join Mensa if he wanted. Mao was smart, one of the smartest. Stalin was smart. Mussolini was smart. Castro is smart. Khadaffi is smart. Saddam is smart. Chavez is probably smart, although this is not clear. It would be remarkable if the leader of a country were not smart.

I'm sure that if one interviewed Hitler, one would say something similar. Hitler was certainly charismatic (in his day and idiom), but one would hope an interviewer would add "and obviously, the personification of evil". Being "smart and impressive" does not preclude being evil.

It would have been easier to miss the evil in Stalin, who comes off like a kindly, loveable Peter Ustinov with a mustache (it's a shame Ustinov never played Stalin in a film). Stalin never let his true intentions be known, especially to "useful idiots" like Wallace. However, the Jew-hatred of a Hitler or an Ahmadinejihad cannot be masked. Wallace must truly be a self-loathing Jew if he was impressed by this P.O.S.

Maybe Wallace should have played the guy in "United 93" who wanted to "reason" with the hijackers.

The media proving once again whose side they are on. Pure sedition, no other word for it unless it would be treason. The worse part, the public will fall for it cause Wallace is someone they are stupid enough to trust.
