There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.
So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!
Chilling. Every American citizen should know these facts. Every one.
Barney is cute but Spotty was very special
There weren't any new photos today.
LOL!!!!!
How about Marion? My grandpa was a David Marion.
Thanks for the ping bitt, nice read!
What in the world is Flat Stanley? I don't get out much.
Me too that is such a special photo
I've traveled I-95 between DC and Fredericksburg enough times in my life... it's been that way for many, many years. I don't know what's wrong with Virginia's highway department either, they sure don't seem to get anywhere. *SIGH*
Mind if I join? :) Mac? Maddox? Madison? Magee? Malcolm? Is there a limit to the number of names I can guess?
My favorite is still the head and shoulders shot I posted yesterday where he's wearing the denim shirt and has that foxy half smile on his face. I have to look at that one at least once a day.
This one has a strange effect. It's really neat. His eyes meet yours whether you're facing him directly or from off to one side. Kind of like the Mona Lisa but with our attractive Commander-in-Chief. He's got that endearing semi-smug expression like he's thinking, "Oh, yeah, baby, tell me more about why I'm a great prez."
THAT is a picture that I, my very own self, scanned in my home from a USA Weekend magazine.
And here it is showing up on the Dose posted by someone who wasn't even around at the time.
Funny how that works. :)
Tis done. :)
Yes...YES...YES!!!
Thank you, thank you! I was beginning to think it was just me. Everything you just stated is what I rail about every.single.week!!!
I am not so sure about the population being that different, with the exception of the greater DC area. From Fredricksburg to Richmond there is not a large population. Also, all the roads in an around Richmond are three lanes. People just can't drive.
If you were in Petersburg you were minutes from my house. ;*)
It might take a while to get it done, but they should at least be starting.
If they had started BEFORE the traffic got so bad, it would be done by now.
I love that last photo of the President, amid all those U.S. flags. I put that exact one on my work pc as wallpaper a couple of months back. The day after I did, my boss had his little son in that evening (which he does often, lets him play games on my pc while he works). The kid saw the picture and asked who it was, so my boss said he took a good 15 minutes or so telling him it's our president, he's a good man, lots of great stuff. It made my day!
Yes my boss is a good conservative guy.
No...I used a baby names book at one time...he denied all of them...
You probably know where Eric was, don't you? :)
I'm glad to validate your complaints about the drivers. We travel ALL over the country A LOT.........and it was like taking everyone else's morons and multiplying them at least a hundred fold.
Positively the worst drivers we've ever encountered.
(Does that make you feel better? LOL!)
When I lived in SF there were plenty of lanes. Sadly, 4 out of 6 were not used, which left 2 lanes bumper to bumper. I kid you not, I thought something was up ahead so I inched along until I couldn't stand it anymore and ventured out into another lane and whizzed down the highway. Watching in my rear view I saw the sheeple slide out one by one after witnessing my bravery. LOL! True story!
That is strange you say that about digitals I find that my earlier more expensive digital takes much longer to give it back to that my new one.
Probably because my original camera is a 3 1/2" diskette one and my newer one is MMC card so I suppose writing time is quicker on the new.
