There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.

So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna go with crutches if the orthopedist lets me. The only problem is if he says I can. I might sneak out if he says no.

Awesome pictures tonight, Ohio. It's hard to pick a favorite, although I've always liked his white car pictures for some reason, especially now that I have one. I took Blizzard George for his first car wash today. He's all waxed and smooth as ever. They even cleaned the tires! Your first-hand pics are also one of a kind. Nobody in the entire world has those Dubya photos except you and people you share them with. They look especially great with some other ones where Dubya is camouflaged by with the flag.

we spent a whole lot of hours (or should I say wasted) on I-95 between DC and Richmond this weekend.
What is WRONG with Virginia's highway department??

It's crazy isn't it? I spend a whole lot of time on that very stretch every week. Last Friday was particularly bad. I had friends call from that stretch of road headed south from Maryland. They couldn't believe it! Bumper to bumper going south at 11:00 AM.

I don't think it's the highway department, Virginia ranks fifth in the nation for the best roads. I will not comment on the drivers as this is a family friendly thread. ;*)

What a GREAT story, oWf!!! I cried at the end. You are such a wonderful story teller, too. God Bless our fine President! Thanks for sharing and all the work involved with doing so.

I'll be at Mom's tomorrow through the 16th, so will be on my laptop--if wireless permits. It's always fun to see if I can log on or not...then, as some of you know, laptops aren't the easiest to work on. There's a whole different feel to them.

Well, number one.........we have three lanes on I-71 in the middle of OHIO.........why does the state of VA only have three in such a heavily populated area? Can we say STUPID??

Number two.......in a few short days, we know what you're talking about with Virginia drivers. Absolute morons! And ALL left lane addicts!

We found ourselves going faster in the far right lane.

And why do they come to a dead stop when a car is parked alongside the road minding its own business. Sheesh!!

(But we loved seeing the Petersburg battlefield and our baby boy. :)

oWf - when I lived in PA...there were only TWO lanes into and out of the 5th largest city in the nation. It blew me away. As you know, CA has all sorts of problems, but we HAVE lanes ;-)
