EGYPTIAN STUDENTSVANISH IN BIG APPLE

Eleven Egyptian students who were supposed to travel to a Montana university after flying to JFK airport late last month disappeared in New York, spurring federal authorities to issue a nationwide alert, officials said yesterday.

The students - who were traveling with six classmates from Mansoura University in Egypt - had their student visas revoked for failing to show up at Montana State University in Bozeman, the officials said.

The other six students made it to the college.

"The FBI and ICE [Immigration and Custom Enforcement] would like to locate these 11 students in order to speak with them," said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko after the "be-on-the-lookout" alert was issued to all police in the United States.

Kolko said there is no reason to believe the missing students, all men around 20 years old, represent a threat.

There are men like Patton in our ,military, but they are captains and colonels who are thought to be eccentric and incapable of command as generals.

Patton was pure soldier. He had few political skills. In todays military you have to be a politician who cultivates an image. That image must be acceptable to the command hierarchy and the politics of the moment at promotion.

Patton? was a man whose every fiber was dedicated to killing the enemy. That was his sole purpose in life. He was expert with weapons, small arms, even the sword. He could recite the strategies used in every major battle going back thousands of years to the beginning of recorded history, and he believed in himself. He believed in himself to the extent of the heresey that he had been a general before in other lifetimes. And he may well have been, for there are few theories to explain who he really was over all.

Such men are not seen as great in our modern forces. They are seen as eccentric. Too bad. Thanks Jimmuh Carter, Thanks Pat Schroeder, Thanks Bill Clinton. Thank you all you poofter generals who asked that Rummy resign.

Soon we will have need of men like Patton. Lets hope they exist somewhere within the military hierarchy.I would love to get a glimpse of just one, almost like searching for the proverbial Unicorn, you know they are there, but they always manage to hide themselves when one disengages peripheral vision to look directly.

But as in WWII, the liberal generals, the bureaucrat generals thinking they have what it takes, all must be frightened into stepping aside for the genuine warriors who have in America stepped forth resiliantly in our times of need. Eisenhower had to hide his intention of using Patton in Europe by placing him in command of the Army responsible for deceiving Hitler with faux installations created out of canvas and wood in Britain prior to D-day. Patton was disrespected by his fellows as a wild card, a maverick, whose dedication to victory was somehow uncivilized and suspect.

It all started with a guy called Washington, and two others Greene and Knox, whose baptisms were via British fire. Let us pray that those kinds of men are still with us,like Patton was, for if not, all may be lost.

Really, think about it. With this statement the FBI has alerted aware people to the danger without causing panic among the masses of people who don't get it.

Each of us should write our Congress Critters and demand the names and photos of these young gentlemen.

Its easy to talk smack, and thus make it difficult to gleen from the mass of postings on these sites anything that could preclude a serious event...

Does the hostile rhetoric in this place cause me to fear?

No...

And what about all the little toy stalls in malls and other public places, and the fake designer purse suppliers (to women who will then have fake purse "parties" to resell them to friends)?

I realize some ethnicities do get into a business and kind of overtake it, but lousy businesses run by Middle Easterners may be providing temporary employment for terror cells.

He believed in himself to the extent of the heresey that he had been a general before in other lifetimes. And he may well have been, for there are few theories to explain who he really was over all.

Allow me one more indulgence. I believed the following poem written by General Patton was a simple metaphor, now new light has been cast upon it. It has a definate religious overtone throughout, and in the end we see he feels God was on his side: Sorry if this is "hijacking", it is not my intent. Through the travail of the ages, Midst the pomp and toil of war, Have I fought and strove and perished Countless times upon this star.

In the form of many people In all panoplies of time Have I seen the luring vision Of the Victory Maid, sublime.

I have battled for fresh mammoth, I have warred for pastures new, I have listed to the whispers When the race trek instinct grew.

I have known the call to battle In each changeless changing shape From the high souled voice of conscience To the beastly lust for rape.

I have sinned and I have suffered, Played the hero and the knave; Fought for belly, shame, or country, And for each have found a grave.

I cannot name my battles For the visions are not clear, Yet, I see the twisted faces And I feel the rending spear.

Perhaps I stabbed our Savior In His sacred helpless side. Yet, I've called His name in blessing When after times I died.

In the dimness of the shadows Where we hairy heathens warred, I can taste in thought the lifeblood; We used teeth before the sword.

While in later clearer vision I can sense the coppery sweat, Feel the pikes grow wet and slippery When our Phalanx, Cyrus met.

Hear the rattle of the harness Where the Persian darts bounced clear, See their chariots wheel in panic From the Hoplite's leveled spear.

See the goal grow monthly longer, Reaching for the walls of Tyre. Hear the crash of tons of granite, Smell the quenchless eastern fire.

Still more clearly as a Roman, Can I see the Legion close, As our third rank moved in forward And the short sword found our foes.

Once again I feel the anguish Of that blistering treeless plain When the Parthian showered death bolts, And our discipline was in vain.

I remember all the suffering Of those arrows in my neck. Yet, I stabbed a grinning savage As I died upon my back.

Once again I smell the heat sparks When my Flemish plate gave way And the lance ripped through my entrails As on Crecy's field I lay.

In the windless, blinding stillness Of the glittering tropic sea I can see the bubbles rising Where we set the captives free.

Midst the spume of half a tempest I have heard the bulwarks go When the crashing, point blank round shot Sent destruction to our foe.

I have fought with gun and cutlass On the red and slippery deck With all Hell aflame within me And a rope around my neck.

And still later as a General Have I galloped with Murat When we laughed at death and numbers Trusting in the Emperor's Star.

Till at last our star faded, And we shouted to our doom Where the sunken road of Ohein Closed us in it's quivering gloom.

So but now with Tanks a'clatter Have I waddled on the foe Belching death at twenty paces, By the star shell's ghastly glow.

So as through a glass, and darkly The age long strife I see Where I fought in many guises, Many names, but always me.

And I see not in my blindness What the objects were I wrought, But as God rules o'er our bickerings It was through His will I fought.

So forever in the future, Shall I battle as of yore, Dying to be born a fighter, But to die again, once more.

I can't imagine anyone not admiring General Patton, especially in these days and times. We need someone to lead..and to lead well.

Patton was perfect in his time. Maybe we'll find our modern day Patton.

I imagine a man like Patton can exists in these times, but a man like Patton could not/would not tolerate a politically correct "collar and leash".

The people of the USA, crave a man such as Patton. 50% don't know it..but they do.

No Hijack!

I am very familiar with the concept of protector warriorship.

Much of my education has been involved with study and practise of several eastern disciplines during my span on this earth.

Like most, I suppose one can only take Patton as he has acted. But I do know that there are many traditions in the world of warriors who allegedly return to rebirth for the sole purpose of protecting their people in time of need. This invokes what is a Christian heresy to many, but I guess it is natural to want to think that there are warriors ready to reincarnate during periods when such protection is needed.

Patton was a quintesential warrior as you probably know much better tha I. He was also a mystic, but I believe he would have spent little time in wool gathering or contemplating his navel. He did dream and he did have what might have been memories from past lives, or were they merely delusions of an overly dedicated mind? We will never know for sure. Much of his intuition in battle cannot be logically explained today. Some say perhaps he acted from the kind of experience that most cannot accumulate in just one lifetime. But that idea has been denegrated.

These primordial warriors are recorded in the civilizations of China, Japan, Tibet and surprisingly in Ireland and Scotland. I do not want to say more here, not wanting to offend anyone's religious sensibilities, nor do I wish to become entangled in religious debate.I believe Patton was such a one.

I want to thank you for the poem. I knew that it existed and had not read it since my college years in the early 70's. Lets hope that we have a few guys like this still around. I have a feeling that we are going to need them very badly.

I will print the poem you sent, and will frame it and put it on my den wall.

Thankyou again.

Such little gems as this are one of the things that make belonging to FR so worthwhile.
