Several concerts on the Dixie Chicks' "Accidents & Accusations" tour have been canceled after slow ticket sales... Good news. :-)

Apparently those cities are "ashamed" to have the Dixie Chicks visit.

If the MSM had not been promoting them up one side and down the other, all of their shows would have been canceled. They received the publicity of super stars only because media leftists wanted to reward them for their anti-Bush stand.

Man o man did they blow it. They were hugely popular, young, with a great band name, and a promising career of pop country ahead of them, and they friggin blew it.

They aren't just politically annoying. They're musically boring. Ever listen to them?

"The trio released a statement last week attributing the changes to attempts to "accommodate demand" and said more dates might be added next year."
What is this, a multiple year tour?
According to AP, they are attempting to accommodate the demand of lackluster ticket sales. LOL

Several concerts on the Dixie Chicks' "Accidents & Accusations" tour have been canceled after slow ticket sales, but the group says it has replaced them with other dates. Translated, this means the promoter wasn't going to have enough ticket sales to cover the stadium costs so the Dixie Chunks are going to "reschedule" and try to sell out at the Lions Club...

Who bought all the albums? Their producers? George Soros? Probably.

Waiting for the obligatory "Natalie Maines is fat" and "Their music is overproduced and stinks" comments, as well as the un-doctored magazine cover shot, the Natalie morphing into batboy, etc.
I must admit to a little Schandenfreude, as I was of the "Shut Up and Sing" school on this trio, but sometimes FReepers get a little out of hand on these threads.

The group also said the adjustments will allow them to promote the documentary "Dixie Chicks: Shut up and Sing,"
Nice of them to rip off Laura Ingraham like that.
To: Pokey78
Well they titled the tour partly correctly. But it should have been "Accidents and Train Wreaks".

Group spokeswoman Kathy Allmand said Monday that the total number of North American dates remains the same, with several Canadian cities added in place of the U.S. shows.

They could also add some dates in France and Germany while they're at it. I'm sure they'll get a good reception there.
