The two of you agree, I think, on more than you disagree on.
The point of contention (from what I can tell) is not that there was an attempt to doctor the photo in a way that gave it a more damaged/ominous look (that seems obvious to everyone) but that there was an attempt to interject some subliminal message in the smoke shapes.
This definitely needs to be on Laura Ingraham's "Lie of the Day," with the Anastacia song "Why'd You Lie To Me."
This didn't pop up out of the blue. There's a history behind it. Reuters has been caught engaging in blatant pro-Islamofascism before and really wasn't called to account for it. Emotions are riding high right now, and it is more--not less--likely that someone (especially a photographer of Islamic Middle Eastern origin and background) would seize the opportunity to use Reuters' extensive news outlets to publish pro-Islamofascist propaganda.
Okay, so just why would they doctor it at all? What do you think was their intention?
A man named North also does some brilliant work piecing together the propaganda story behind the MSM approved and authorized Qana story. This excerpt really says it all. (My image link temporarily broke after his site started getting half a million hits.)
. . .
Now the strategy becomes clear. Round the corner and on top of the rise formed by "Stretcher Alley" is the "fiercely competitive" media, coralled like sheep in a pen, waiting for the next photo-opportunity to be presented to them. And Hezbollah is about to lay on the performance of a lifetime, a human interest story starring "Green Helmet and "White Tee-shirt" in a bravura display of raw emotion.
This duly authorized genuine MSM source - a budding journalism student - helped create MSM's Haditha hoax:
IMHO Ace of Spades nails it:
The whole MSM has some explaining to do. But they will do no explaining, and ask no questions, and embargo the story, because they cannot admit that they have cut foreign budgets to such a degree [that] they now rely almost entirely on local stringers of questionable objectivity and integrity for the bulk of their foreign reportage.

[Just a thought here.
Because the photoshop job was so bad, maybe it's bad on purpose, done by someone that wants to send a message that we need to look at other photos.
I'm only saying this because that is exactly what is happening.]
I see your point. It's hard to understand that level of stupidity by a "professional" photographer. I guess that may be the essential question, was it done out of stupidity and agenda-driven or was it done purposefully to make people aware of the deception that is possible? Who, in fact, doctored the photo before it was published?Perhaps more investigation of the photgrapher and his bio and "associations" is in order.
Yes, that's the photo. I spend an hour looking for thing and I bet you found it within seconds.
fixed it.
I don't do PhotoShop, but the right side horizon looks "pixelated" in the supposedly undoctored photo.
I don't take much solace in this. The "35%" is essentially the same number who are solid conservatives. This is nothing more than the traditional political split in this country. That being approximately 1/3 Conservative, 1/3 DemocRAT, and 1/3 swing voters with their heads up their A$$.
Things have changed with the Internet, but not really. Those who don't want to believe will not despite the facts being beamed at them at the speed of light.
Especially if the wife was Messalina.
I just "googled". ;)
No...he'll just get a Pulitzer!

Taking cues from the Master.....
Still, the Internet has ensured that those of us who justifiably distrust the left wing media and its agenda are able to counter it in real time.
