JERUSALEM, Aug 2 (Reuters) - Israel's offensive in Lebanon has "entirely destroyed" the infrastructure of the Hizbollah guerrilla group, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Wednesday."I think Hizbollah has been disarmed by the military operation of Israel to a large degree," he told Reuters in an interview.
"The infrastructure of Hizbollah has been entirely destroyed. More than 700 ... command positions of Hizbollah were entirely wiped out by the Israeli army. All the population which is the power base of the Hizbollah in Lebanon was displaced," he said.
Olmert cited a reduction in the number of rocket attacks on Israel as proof of how badly Hizbollah had been damaged, though the group had fired more than 70 rockets into Israel on Tuesday.

This could be a sign that things are about to cool, but I doubt it. Word is that Bibi and others in the opposition are being pretty forceful with Olmert and "encouraging" him to get the entire job done..
I have the same worries, but trust me, Bibi and the others won't allow a wimpy liberal pull-out this time. If Olmert does decide to pull out, I expect him to only be PM for a few more months top. First will come the infamous "no confidence" and then he'll be replaced. I don't think Olmert wants that, so I'm guessing he's going to keep at it.
Olmert deserves better neighbors than he's had recently. He should consider inviting the Lebanese Christian expats to come live in southern Lebanon and let the hezbully sympathizers who've fled north STAY north. They can get their jollies shooting rockets off at Syria.
