CNN is SOOOOOOO obvious. Do they not even TRY to hide their bias. It is DISGUSTING. They might as well have the Hezzies flag flying above Andersoun Cooper.

Levital? The Fox News guy in Lebanon just made a REALLY important point. They got the full list names of all the "victims" from Qana. They are all women or children.
He asked "The question I have yet to hear asked is where were all the fathers and husbands for these women and children"

Hinting at the rumor that disabled children put in there or euthanized first then used this way? Obviously if proved, it makes these people the equivalent of the Nazis in late 30's. They went from their (Gypsies, Homosexuals, and of course Jews).

..."we hope that if there was an Israeli inclination to provoke Syria, the US would adopt a deterrent stance,"
Well, hope springs eternal, doesn't it? The Saudis are real experts at deterrents. 19 hijackers comes to mind.

I am trying to figure out if they will hit Syria or get hit by syria before this is over...I think Syria was certain this war would already be over. They thought world opinion would have condemned Israel so severely that a cease-fire would have ensued.
They were wrong, the U.S. is doing a fantastic job in letting Israel continue unabated. World Opinion be damned. Syria is in a dither and will let the Hezzies sink or swim on their own.

Neither. Neither Syria or Iran will get involved directly. They work thru proxy forces. With the US sending a clear signal "Hey This time no one is going to stop the Jews for you like we did in 1956, 1967 and 1973, they are gooing to sit on their butts and sit this one out.

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal announced Wednesday that the Arab countries will stand by Syria if she encounters any threat or in case of any aggression on any Arab country. They will stand by, complain, wring their hands, issue statements, and watch.
Otherwise they will be destroyed.
This is all about WMDs.

Israel timed call-ups to massage Syria
IAN BRUCE, Defence Correspondent August 03 2006
Israel deliberately staggered the call-up of its reserve forces over the past week to avoid panicking Syria and risking all-out war on a second front, according to Israel Defence Force sources.
Most of the 12,000 reservists mobilised last Thursday are now on the Lebanese border, while a further 10,000 to 15,000 men are likely to be ordered to report for active duty in the next few days.
An officer said: "While our generals would have preferred a substantial early call-up to provide a manpower pool for all contingencies, it was felt that mass mobilisation would have resulted in an unwanted escalation.
"Syria had to be massaged. If we had had 25,000 troops poised within striking distance of the Bekaa Valley astride the main highway to Damascus, Syria would have been forced to respond.
"The thinking is that we will feed in as many units as necessary to expand the buffer zone or relieve those already in action against Hizbollah, with sufficient combat power in reserve to advance to the Litani or beyond if that becomes the strategic goal.
"There was also an economic reason to stage mobilisation by degrees. Every reservist we take is one fewer worker in the factories or fields. Apart from the relatively small regular cadre, ours is a citizen-army and the financial impact of mass call-up is felt quickly."

OTOH, there are so many beautiful manly males in Israel, based on what I've seen the last few weeks, that I'm sure we can both make do. I'm still trying to figure out if this guy is for real or is an actor.
