I wouldn't require them to disarm either. The only thing I'd demand is that they don't breath. Now to read the rest of the posts to see if this is actually happening or FOX just misreported it.

It actually happened but then was reversed by the Israelis. Here is a quote from an article today on FR (see link below)...

Netanyahu condemned a Foreign Ministry official who told Reuters that Israel would not demand the immediate disarming of Hizbullah as part of a deal to end the fighting in Lebanon. He said that Israel must complete the operations by disarming Hizbullah and removing the security threat to northern Israel.

The answer is plain and simple, the continuing war in Lebanon is having a negative effect around the Middle East, the last thing Israel and America want to see is regime change in countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia with pro western governments replaced by Islamic ones.
