#1 Michelle Persaud, 27
Staff counsel
Michelle Persaud’s delicate features burst into a smile as she describes the mistake many men make with her.
Seeing her dark eyes and mocha skin, her flowing black tresses and expansive lashes, they sidle over, take in a breath and start speaking … Farsi!
“I just look at them and smile,” the Maryland native, who has no Persian ancestry, says with a chuckle. “I get that all the time.”
Persaud is the winner of our annual 50 Most Beautiful contest. But as you will see in the following pages, there is no shortage of beautiful people working on Capitol Hill.

Sorry, but you will have to take the whole package :)
I guess if you're into blondes. My hair was about that color till my mid-twenties. I prefer women with just the opposite hair color.
I know where I'm going if I go to DC!! Best attractions in town!
Ya really, really made my day, hehehe....
"Oh, I thought it was the most beautiful people over 50."
You must have a thing for blonds. I think most of the brunettes are much more attractive. Well, I do have a thing for brunettes! I guess that is why I married one. I visited D.C. about a month ago, and went on a tour of the Capitol. I can not recall seeing any women this fine. Our elected officials must keep them close at hand....
She really jumped out at me as a real lady, and she works for Buyer in looking up her bio, so that is probably a real possibility:
Anjulen Anderson, aide, Rep. Steve Buyer (R-Ind.)
Anjulen Anderson, a staff assistant for Rep. Steve Buyer (R-Ind.), celebrated her 24th birthday Monday.
She arrived in Washington one year ago from Purdue University, where she majored in economics. Several summers ago, she interned for Buyer and, in typical Washington fashion, when a job opened up in his office last August Anderson was in the right place at the right time. Now she's climbing Capitol Hill.
She is a long way from her hometown of Monticello, Ind., population 7,000. The self-described small-town girl and farmer's daughter finds the big city much faster-paced than the lakeside home.
She plays golf a few times a month and socializes with her friends. Asked if she has challenged Buyer to a round on the links, she says, "I don't talk trash. I'm too nice to do that."
When she is not at work she is reading Real Simple or People magazines or a novel. For now, Anderson, who is single, is finding her way and is uncertain about what she would like to do in the future.
Now I am going to have nightmares
You have WAY too much free time on your hands.
Or, you lied to your wife when you told her you were hunched over the computer writing an important email to your financial planner.
Jim Jones descendant?
The one on the left, in my opinion, looks like a feminist with an attitude who would nag you to put the toilet seat down when you came home from work. She's not even attractive. Plus she seriously needs a nose job.
RRRRAAAAAARRRR!
That's scarry.
"Where the heck is Katherine Harris?"
Probably in Florida campaigning for the Senate seat that she will never occupy; bless her heart. Besides, I think this was for the "Young" beautiful people.
