Lebanon IS Hezbollah - there are no innocent civiliansWrong. Christians in Lebanon are innocent. They used to have their own milita but were decimated by Hezbollah in the Lebanese Civil War.
As a result, Hezbollah is charge of the country.
25% of Lebanese are Christian and thus are innocent and deserve our support.

Maybe they use them for riot control, or to put out car fires also....

They hide these mooslime and now are going to fight to keep them firing their rockets.
Israel is using too much restraint.

They'll get their asses kicked, too. Big Time. Perhaps this is a ploy to prompt the UN or some other group of other countries to go against Israel militarily.
To: Brilliant
actually I dont think they were expecting the world press to be so anti-Israel especially since this all started with the abduction of Israeli soldiers. A small factor that nobody in the media seems to care about or mention

No doubt Syria has a lot to do with this. Maybe Syria has promised to support Lebanon with arms and military support if they will fight Israel.

"I think it's becoming increasingly evident the current Lebanese leadership isn't as opposed to Hezbollah as they would like everyone to believe." Yup. "Just play them along...look at all the money they give the PLO. We can get some too."

If the Lebanese had a scintilla of sense they would continue to publicly condemn Israel. And then just wait. Wait. Wait. About 4 weeks. Then, when Hezbolla is low on food, ammo, and water, when they are deathly tired, attack them and wipe them out. No prisons for the survivors - summary court martial and firing squads. Then, make peace with Israel and publicly request that the United States establish a military base in Lebanon, on the SYRIAN border.

I think the French actually had someone fire a shot or two before they surrendured to the enemy.

LOTS of Christian Lebanese ex-pats in NYC, who grieve for what was once their country.

Kinda like the abused woman defending the boyfriend who beats her. Though perhaps he is holding a knife to her throat.

Looks like you've made your bed, Lebanon. Now lie in it.

I don't know how old you are, but the press has been FAR more hostile to Israel in previous conflicts. I'm rather surprised at how much of Israel's side of the story that they've been reporting this time.

Just shows they're more afraid of Syria and Iran than of Israel or the US.
