That's my feeling...like Hitler in the build up to WWII...tell Chamberlain anything. You would think Europe would learn from past history...when a person is determined to do something like this, it is important to give them enough...the more you give them, the more they will take...and still do the behavior you are trying to stop...
Is this correct? If so, why?
Only a matter of time, I'm afraid. All the talk of "cease fire" won't work. You don't negotiate with those who believe they have a divine calling to kill you. The best course of action is to kill them before they have a chance to carry out their goals.
Syrian Rocket Struck Haifa Earlier 18:30 Jul 17, '06 / 21 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) Security officials reported some of the rockets which struck Haifa on Monday afternoon were Syrian made, containing significantly more explosive materials than 122mm Katyusha rockets in addition to metallic balls intended to increase carnage on impact.
and this:
However, Chirac said that he believed another country - likely Syria - was behind the actions of the militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah. "I have the feeling, if not the conviction, that Hamas and Hezbollah wouldn't have taken the initiatives alone," Chirac said.
"There is, without any doubt, an action which must be discussed with Syria," the French president said.
Quite the genius the French President, non?
I don't know how long they've been explicitly saying that they will agree even if there is no disarming. I agree, though, that this doesn't really change the equation.
I'm waiting for Mike Tobin to sign off by saying "I'm going to have a light lunch and then go kick some tail for a few hours. I'll be back with you at 6:00 with a full report."
I noticed that...they are having trouble with their site, I suspect...Can't get the ticker to work, and can't always get the home page.
I would like to go there someday too so that I can meet my in-laws. They are all still in Iraq. There's no way I'm going any time soon though. I like my head on my neck, thank you!
Shame you can't drop by and tell them we said hello, since you're in the area and all. That would completely freak them out! :-)
Hey, I thought Shep was in Israel? What happened with him? I see Bill Hemmer is there now (and looking good as usual).
I have a 50-50 chance of makine the ferry tomorrow, but I'd really like to make the trip on the Iwo Jima. :-)
That's a page from the Saddam playbook.
LOL! I have always had a crush onhim...
He use to have this nervous habit- while on the air he would rock side to side.....they must have worked with him onit- because then he started rocking back and forth...
then he would slightly raise on his toes.
now- his nervous habit has been reduced to big deep breaths that make his shoulders rise and fall~
It is sooooooooooooooooo cute to watch!
HE IS ADORABLE!
BK mentioned that fusion are many times more powerful than the ones dropped on Japan...that the land would still be radioactive today.
Very very funny. I would like to see video of that!
I'm not NEARLY that high on the evacuation priority list!
And the media is playing it as the scoop of the year. LOL
"I just posted a reply to that idiot on the other thread suggesting he is an operative trying to make us all look like fundamentalist fanatics"
Unfortunately, there are many little "Pharisees" populating the religious right. So concerned with the piddly little stuff that they miss what really matters. Besides, God is the one who judges our hearts, not man.
What is going on over in the Mid-East right now, the actions of the terrorists and their supporters, is far more important. That is where our focus should rightly be pointed, not at a slightly coarse comment that came out of Pres. Bush's mouth when he wasn't aware the mic was on. Sheesh!.
pattyjo
Shep will be on for his afternoon shows. I don't know when Geraldo will be on - he is supposedly there, too, or on the way.
