Okay...thanks for differentiating between fission and fusion.
BK mentioned that fusion are many times more powerful than the ones dropped on Japan...that the land would still be radioactive today.

The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was about 20kilotons. A W88 warhead, which is mounted on Trident sub-launched ICBM's reportedly has a yield of 475kiltons.
Land-based ICBM's have warheads that yeild tens of megatons, and the Russians developed a 100mt bomb.
