IAF hits Army Barracks in N. Lebanon
A new day, another thread...
THANK YOU Burbank Karl for this thread.
Adding 2 links.

The only way you can consider this disproportionate is if you live life in a 3-day memory erase loop.
What about all the years of trash they have taken from these idiots?
What about the terrorism that Hesbollah is perpetrating on the Lebanese by using them as human shields after stirring up a fight?
Does anyone think Israel will roll armor in when Hezbolla has been softened up ?
Just wondering ...
Herbal = Hezbulla (spell checkers fault)
Link?

You think and plot and plan to try and keep ahead of these situations, then something simple and glaringly obvious materializes before your very eyes.
Yes, attacks on Lebanese Army facilities represent significant escalation. Hezbollah is one thing, the Lebanese government and military are quite another.
Since I haven't been watching for this specifically it may have occurred frequently before, in which case, disregard this post.
Any idea why so many more Filipinos in Lebanon (30,000) than Americans (25,000)? Just curious.
"07:57 Asia-Pacific officials working to evacuate citizens from Lebanon"
I'm so tired of that crappy "disproportionate" line.
Kinda goes against the Powell Doctrine of overwhelming force, doesn't it?
Part of the Lebanese army is affiliated with Hezbullah.
Code word=Herbal. We'll know next time. However, those pushy Herbalife people used to drive me nuts, too.
yes, significant escalation, but does any of this really matter if boots are not put on the ground in southern lebanon, the vermin will just crawl out of their foxholes if the IDF doesn't go in and root them out. By the way, what to you make of the report of the 2 hostages being held in the Iranian embassy in Beirut?
thanks Karl...
The reporter on CNNi said it.....
Thanks, Karl
IAF Strikes Over 50 Targets During the Night
08:30 Jul 17, '06 / 21 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) Israel Air Force fighter planes during the night struck over 50 targets, hitting three radar stations near the coast of Tripoli, fuel depots and other strategic objectives. Gun boats also fired at Hizbullahs al-Manar TV, but reportedly missed their intended target, striking a home.
Air Force Commander Major-General Eliezer Shkedi announced that Israel continues to warn civilians to leave areas in which Hizbullah is operating; adding Israel is making every effort to minimize civilian casualties while striking terrorists wherever they may seek cover.
Lebanese sources report that at least 9 people were killed and dozens injured during the night.
