That is why I had asked. I was looking for the cities where the two merging groups are located. With all my past focus on AQ, I wanted to take a fresh look at it. I posted earlier that NYC, DC, Detroit and Houston are 4 cities where both groups operate. Has DHS raised the threat level to orange?
I am going to take a break and try to eat lunch and do a few other things. Seems like when you take a few hours away from this thread, it takes a while to catch up. But, one has to eat and I have other duties staring me in the face. I will keep on FNC. I'll be back later.
"...The IRGC Air Force prepared a confidential report on the features of the new missile and sent it to the IRGC command. It read: "Zelzal 2 missile has been produced for deploying in other countries and in Iraq in particular. When we want to hit a building in Iraq, we simply have to send an agent with the transmitter unit (which is not bigger than a mobile telephone) near the building to put it in a trash bin, beside the wall or on the roof. After an hour, an improved version of Zelzal 2 missile is launched towards the building and by receiving the signals from the transmitter the missile would be guided towards the target..."
Very cool. Thanks for posting the pic.
I'm glad they hit that before it could launch.
I just saw this and I have a problem with it. If we can pick up the tab for rescuing, with military helicopters, the many residents of New Orleans, who were given days of notice and ignored directions to evacuate, then I think we can justify evacuating our stranded Americans overseas.
If the enemies of our country think we will abandon our citizens so readily, they will be embolden to strike areas where Americans are located to an even greater degree.
Our military is tasked with defending our country and that includes our citizens. Since the SCOTUS has been so liberally extrapolating from our U.S. Constitution, one could say that the Fourth Amendment ["The right of the people to be secure in their persons..."] could be applied globally.
There would probably be more steps - the beacon transmitter would be emplaced, then activited by remote control after word is received that a missile has been launched - the beacon only has to be active for 4 seconds; if it were on for one hour IDF could triangulate on it - wonder what frequencies the beacon uses?
I understand if you have the vapors, the connection may work even slower.
:-)
That would be the tricky part. Either via radio transmission, or via direct telephone link. (That's why I asked yesterday if it was stillpossible to call Lebanon directly from Israel).
Of course a predetermined time could be decided over the net, but if the launch was delayed for some reason the 4 s window may be missed.
"It wasn't him. Tobin was great. It was a blonder man with a neck wider than his ears. Like a wt. lifter."
Possibly Bill Hemmer? He's over there, and as I watched him report earlier, I noticed how large his neck is. Kinda makes his head look a tad too small. I didn't listen to what he said. I tend to keep them all on mute and read the CC. Keeps me from going ballistic over the stupidity and ignorance that gets spued by the media. ;>)

LOL. Settle down, Miztiki. (Besides, I called dibs on him first.)
As an option can you turn off graphics?

IDF declares: Fresh kidnapping claim false
By JPOST.COM STAFF
The IDF officially declared on Monday evening that there was no truth to the earlier claim by al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades that it had captured an IDF soldier in the West Bank.
Probably why the al-manr transmission towers in Leboanon were attacked so early ---- they could be used to send timing signals and other information.
See that little line by Arlington, Texas...with al-queda by it???
yeppers...THAT is why I worry.

Hamas vs. the United States - By Daniel Pipes
FrontPageMagazine.com | May 3, 2005
The Bush administrations push for quick democracy in the Middle East has an increasingly clear implication: if Islamist organizations such as Hamas are to be likely electoral winners, Western powers should stop classifying them as terrorists and instead come to terms with them.
This conclusion follows from such efforts as those led by Alastair Crooke and his Conflicts Forum; the European Unions exploration of opening a dialogue with the Islamists; and an astonishing statement in which the White House spokesman referred to Hamas members as business professionals.
Before this whitewashing of Hamas proceeds too far ahead, it bears noting that the organization has not just murdered over four hundred Israelis but also prepared itself for war with the United States.
The ideological justification for war is in place.
In 2003, Hamas declared President George W. Bush Islams biggest enemy and in 2004 it called him the enemy of God, the enemy of Islam and Muslims.
A 2004 press release announced that Hamas considers the U.S as an enemy and as an accomplice to the Israeli enemy aggression against the Palestinians. The U.S will face responsibility for its position as an accomplice with Israel.
Hamas logistical cells could be quickly turned operational.
By early 2002, "Eli Lake has revealed in the New York Sun, the FBI concluded that 50 to 100 trained Hamas and Hezbollah agents had already infiltrated America where they worked on fundraising and logistics, but Dennis Lormel, formerly in FBI counterterrorism, notes that these cells have the potential of being operational.
FBI director Robert Mueller reaffirmed the threat in February 2005: Although it would be a major strategic shift for Hamas, its United States network is theoretically capable of facilitating acts of terrorism in the United States.
According to a senior government counterterrorism official, Hamas could be merging with elements of Osama bin Ladens all inclusive military arm and the two together then carry out military strikes against the United States. They have operations planned for here, they have the capabilities to strike at will and when the time is right they will do it.
DHS didnt raise the national alert level, but sent out a memo to cities and private companies.
Well? They paid to get there...
This is why it's oft stated that "democracy contains the seeds of its own destruction."
