I think I've just heard him say, for the third time that the gloves are coming off. I wonder if that's a threat to use Saddam's WMD?
I guess trying to interpret Hezbullah jibberish is difficult.
In today's environment, anyone studying arabic, islam, or even midle eastern geography should either be part of our intelligence apparatus, or on a terrorist watch list (in BIG, bold letters.
finally, decent coverage by Fox
OMG I HEARD IT TOO LOL
Dagnabit! He doesn't look even a little bit hurt ;(

Me and the Lebanese Army
Topics: Uncategorized
Not many years ago I visited Lebanon for the first time. I still have good memories of this beautiful country. The people were very friendly to us especially after they knew we came from Egypt. I am not sure if the Lebanese are forced to be friendly to all tourists, but several of them expressed their love for my country and their wish to visit. All what I had to do is say we're Egyptian and keep reminding my mom to hide her Syrian origins! A taxi driver changed his friendly face when my mom told him she came from Syria!
Anyway, I'll write about my trip to Lebanon later. I just want to tell you about when me and my mom went to the Lebanese army club at the seaside. The army we all long to see deployed in the south.
Me: Mom, they won't let us in. I guess the club is only for the army personnel and their families.
Mom: I have the Egyptian army club membership card with me.
Me: Mom! It's the Egyptian army club membership. Hello, we're in Lebanon!
Mom: They'll let us in when they know we're from the Egyptian military.
We went passed the gate. A Lebanese guard came up to us asking for our membership cards.
Me: We don't have them, we're from Egypt.
Guard: Sorry, this club is for the Lebanese army only.
Mom: We're from the Egyptian military. My husband is a general.
Guard: Welcome, Welcome
please go in.
We went inside and I felt like comitting suicide! The place was full of hot Lebanese soldiers' girlfriends/wives in bikinis.
Me: Mooooooom Why don't we have these in the Egyptian army. Why don't the military clubs in Egypt have these creatures..why why?
Mom: We did have them. Our clubs were the best in the region. They all were very open and liberal. The military and police clubs in Egypt had bars in them. Now we can't go to the military clubs anymore, they changed over the years. This is why we never go there yet your father still renews the cards.
We met a Lebanese family sitting beside us. The man was a soldier and he came with his new wife and mother-in-law. The soldier went with his wife to swim. My mom was talking with the lady until I interupted.
Me: Lebanon has a good army, why isn't it deployed in the south instead of Hezbollah.
The lady was silent and was trying to change the subject.
Me: I mean, I just don't understand it. You have an army, yet there are places in Lebanon where they can't venture in.
Lady: Ummm, we don't talk about these issues. Don't ever talk about this here.
Me: Why?
Lady: Intelligence. Syria's intelligence.
Thought i was about to see some "ogrish stuff live"
Did you catch the interview just before that stupid speech? DUmocrat looked pretty stupid, the host did a pretty good job roping him in. Now some U.N. flunkie on.
I keep watching this hoping to see the screen he's on white out and go to static as an Israeli bomb hits that location.
ummm...
Saudi Arabia has weighed in on this, firmly on our side.
We can glass Tehran, all of iran, Syria to boot, but 1.6 billion Muslims is a tall order.
I prefer to concentrate on the most agressive ones, and let the seemingly friendly ones alone for the time being.
Still, premature.
Wait and watch.
From Nasrallah per translator: (Very choppy)
"We will surprise them beyond Haifa. The level of confrontations of the land...we will engage the enemies tanks.
Something about towers and airplanes? Then talked about the Israeli airforce.
We will humiliate them in the future as we have in the past."
he's on his way to the airport...will go to London...
"Leader" is an ambiquous word, nothing on Dawn, still looking for a direct quote from Musharraf, or, barring that, AP's original article.
Well...I've never really been with the "nuke 'em till they glow" group, but if this poetry stuff is a general practice of theirs we best end their time on earth ASAP. Good Lord, do it for humanity.
thx
I still believe that the so called ultimatum you are referencing is not credible, as the Israeli government has denied it.
mornin
Yes the leader of the Hezbullies just gave a mouthful in a new video... hey what the heck did the Hezbullies think would happen when they joined Pal in kidnapping Israeli soildiers? Exactly what happned and it's all a big plan.
