pratically promised IDF wouldn't touch Syria
This is the kind of crap that makes me want to puke. It's precisely why I have very little faith in Olmert's leadership.
I thought I heard that Bebe was gonna be on Fox at 3:00 pm EST today.

Hey thanks for the advice.. he went to chiroprator before.. and it did help but.... it costs too much money and he thinks he can get thru it..... i will tell him what u said..No problem, but I will say: unless there is actually evidence of a skeletol-stucture issue, then a chiropractor is a waste of time. 90% of back pain needs...requires deep tissue therapy. It's trauma to the muscle and tissue that has to be repaired or the damaged tissue will simply lock up and create the same condition again and again.
I would recommended pursuing treatment through that route, or at least a second opinion through that avenue.
Just my humble opinion. It has restored both my wife and I.

At any level under operational, I don't believe you can use the Syrian TOE any more. I believe the limiting condition now to be the Iranian TOE.
Per the original poster, that report is sourced to the Jerusalem Post, and yes, I view it as a significant development.
However, it is not unexpected for Syria to mobilize reserves when an enemy has already begun the same process, whether they intend to pre-empt or involve themselves or not.
Not a good sign, but not a committing move either.

Per FOX just now - 20 Americans with pre-existing medical conditions on helicopter out and headed to Israel. Hopefully the other 25,000 and rebel-yell2 will be leaving soon too.

Jeffers, Jeffers come on now, surely you've done your research on Olmert and know what a pantywaist this guy is. Pox and others here, including myself, have every reason to believe Olmert may back down. Do I think he will? No, b/c events are going to dictate the conflict at this point. And while I agree we need to wait until all the pieces are in place and not go in rushing blind into the conflict, I adamently disagree with your USSR analogy to this conflict. the USSR responded to geopolictical realities, these Islamonuts do not and will not, they will only respond to the overwhelming use of force, and for the record the odds are way in our favor (just so long as we keep Russia and Chian on the sidelines)

So if IDF was under your command, you would publicly state that you intended to overrun Lebanon, giving a precise estimate of when you would begin offensive operations, at a point in time well before your military was ready to execute?
Actually, Israel has been telegraphing their moves pretty much since this started, and that has been simply an effort to avoid as many civilian casualties as possible.
I have not advised that Israel start popping nukes in this conflict, but that "advice" would certainly change if WMD's were used against Israel. I think you've left the path of my train of thought. My concern has always been the timidity of the current Israeli government, and my current issue is the backtracking on their insistence that UN resolution 1559 be implemented before their offensive has concluded.
I know the young bucks always want to run in and prove their courage
Would that it were. I haven't' been a "young buck" in quite a long while now, unfortunately.

Yes. I'm trying to find out more...
16:11 Hezbollah-linked Lebanese minister: We won`t strike Israel`s nuclear plants (Haaretz)
To: jeffers
No, not a committing move, but i think it makes it that much more likely Israel will take some proactive measures to protect its flanks should it venture into Southern Lebanon and almost a certainty should they move into the Bekka.

It's been speculated that hez is also planning hostage taking among the 50,000+ foreign nationals.
I'm surprised that has not yet begun.
