Developing . . .
The attention has been taken off Hamas and the Israeli soldier kidnapped last week. All part of the plan, of course.
Thank you President Peanut, for your treachery of 30 years ago.
Effin' idiot.
Like Pharaoh.
Good point. If the US takes an active role with the Israelis, it will have a negative impact on our operations in Iraq. Even if we don't aid Israel, the attacks on Lebanon will force the Iraqi government to make a statement condemning Israel, which will not go over well in the US.
Welcome to FreeRepublic.
any reports of the US moving more carrier groups into the gulf region?
I don't think so. They fought a stalemate war with each other for 10 years. We rolled through Iraq in two weeks.
This is turning into a shooting war. a BIG shooting war.
I'm thinking if they just wanted to get them off their hands, they wouldn't be trying to transfer them to Iran. They could easily transfer them to the Lebanese government, who could assure their safety and give everyone some kind of way to save face. Sending them to Iran is like pouring gasoline on a grease fire.
>>They build hospitals, schools, and provide a welfare program
so did the nazi's.
>>Pillars of the society
with a swastika on top of the pillar.
Hezbollah did not work for the betterment of "moderate" lebanese. Not to mention christians or joos.
LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS!!
If Iran attempts to do this in concert with Hezbollah, it is an act of war and represents Iran falling into a huge fly trap.
If what we think is evil is really used for the good of God, is it really evil?
Iran has 1,000,000 Shiite troops...If they moved into Iraq, many or most of Iraq would join them...And another possible million from Pakistan and Turkey...
Could get pretty messy for our side...
I was there in '91 and they thought it then. When did they stop thinking it?
Looking back at history, it is clear that But for the ovens there would be no Nation of Israel today. If you believe that God was not in control during WWII, then God is not worth worshipping. If something like that could happen in direct violation of God's will, then God is not all powerful, he is impotent.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:28-31 KJV)
The fact is that when a sparrow falls from the sky it is falling in accordance with the will of God. So whatever happens in this current situation, we need fear not because God is in control.
You're intimating that God wills someone to evil for a good outcome?
Never.
It's the same flawed argument that it's okay to abort a child (commit an evil) to save the life of the mother (for a good end).
We have our free will. God intervenes in time and He knows exactly when He will do so. He may allow people who are evil to assume power as a proxy for punishment, but He never brings man to do evil. He can't will it. Otherwise He wouldn't be God.
It would be a short armageddon, as far as Iran is concerned. Think "surfarce of Mars".
Who are we to say how the terrible events in world history fitr into His plan. Why He steps in sometimes and not in other times.
Like the old saw says: "Sometimes God says 'No'"
and who works for DOE to file these "reports" - they also have agendas, the same way the Plame group at CIA had agendas, etc. The Iraq/Niger yellowcake story - was true. The forged documents were planted as a poison pill to discredit the story, and Valerie sent Joe to serve as the "reliable and credible CIA source" for trashing the Niger connection.
