Reports coming in about IAF striking Beruit airport, if this is confirmed this is another sizable escalation. I think this article ought to be pinned.
We just could not go in and occupy Iran. I don't think we would need to if we bloodied their nose real bad. I believe there are enough people opposed to the mullahs that they would implode.

The new protected buffer that needs to extend out from Israel's boundaries should now be increased from 5 kilometers to at least 20 kilometers (distance of their furthest rocket).
This emptied, mostly leveled buffer (not even settlers should be allowed) would be held in conservancy for the people that lived there previously. Maybe thirty or more years (one or two generations) from now the Israelis could re-open it for inhabitation.
I wrote them a scathing e-mail about their programming choice with this going on. I can't believe they're replaying normal lineup shows when all of this is going on.
Basically I told them if their programmers didn't feel this story was worthy of going live, they need to rehtink who they have running the network.
Don't know if it will make a difference but I felt better getting it off my chest.

I read somewhere that they actually expected an invasion from Russia. That was why they went into Russia too early. Of course that was second hand opinion.
That's ridiculous! They turn out the lights at 8 p.m. (ET). O'Reilly, especially, has his show in the can early in the day, and Hannity and Comes is not much better.
Oh, the shows might be "semi" live...the hosts might even be in the studio. But it would truly require WW3 for them to depart their prepared material. Only Gretta stays awake and alert for breaking news from Aruba, runawway brides, Duke LAX, etc.
It is a sorry mess.

In fairness, they have more than one studio. The studios with windows onto the street -- at Fox, CNN, NBC and ABC -- are generally used only for the morning shows when there's a large and relatively wholesome crowd gathered at the window. They don't want the cameras and lights pointed out there when the drunks and hookers show up.

Actually, our troops have been surrounded since they entered Iraq. They have known that very well, no doubt. Lose solders almost every day now. That is during peace time. Iranian Full Army to East. Saudis to South. Syrian and Turkey to North. The Key is Jordon if we do not have a full counterattack battle plan already typed up and ready to implement. Hopefully we do.
