A sizable majority of Palestinians support the continued kidnappings of Israelis as well as persistent Qassam rocket fire as a means to pressure Israel to release Palestinian prisoners, according to a new poll commissioned by the Jerusalem Media and Communication Center, the results of which were released Sunday.

Of the 1,197 respondents from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, 66.8 percent expressed support for further kidnappings of Israeli civilians while 77.2 percent backed the Kerem Shalom tunnel operation and subsequent kidnapping of Israel Defense Forces Corporal Gilad Shalit.

Nonetheless, just 47.7 percent of those polled said they believed the Shalit affair would end positively for the Palestinian side.

The poll also showed that 60 percent of the public supports the continued Qassam rocket fire into Israel as opposed to 36 percent who oppose.

I would say that the majority of muslims worldwide support this. Have any islamics anywhere said anything against it? I doubt it.

Well, tighten the screws a couple turns, then. And more, if necessary.

We are at war with these people, if you can call them that, and have been for some time. It wouldn't matter a tinkers-damn whether we changed our foreign policy or not vis-a-vis Israel/Palestine. Most of the gazan dirtbags have become radicalized. They support al-qaeda, the taliban, pakiwaki madrass morons, radical iranian shia, and any other sick, perverted islamic movement.

It's like the old fram oil filter TV commercial, we can either pay now or PAY LATER. We must give the Israelis the green light to defend themselves by destroying hamass.

They danced in the streets too on 9/11. They're a morally debauched and benighted people. Is it any wonder the Left likes them so much or that the EU gives them tribute?

It would give me no pleasure to see, but if the situarion keeps escalating like this in about a decade or so the Israelis might have to utilize the sterilizing effects of ionizing radiation to rid the Gaza strip of its growing infestation.

The funny thing (yes, funny - not ironic) is that these very same people express shock and outrage that Israel hits them back. Honestly, you want to destroy Israel, kidnap its soldiers, send little kids to blow up buses and restaurants, send rockets over, etc., and you're shocked that Israel responds?! Definitely a case of these folks not being the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Saudi Columnist on June 25 Gaza Attack: This is a Despicable Attack by Hamas, Which is Acting Like a Terrorist Organization In an article in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa titled "The Crime at the Kerem Shalom Crossing," Saudi columnist Yusuf Nasir Al-Suweidan argues that the June 25, 2006 attack at the Kerem Shalom crossing, in which Israeli soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit was taken hostage, has turned the Palestinian dream of an independent state into a thing of the past, and that after Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the Palestinians should have laid down their weapons and worked to develop...

Absolutely Insane...

The majority support the actions even though the majority acknowledges that it won't turn out favorably for them.

I think we can safely say that they believe killing Jews is more important then their own welfare. Nothing new here really.

Which is the reason why I can't feel sorry for them for not having a homeland. They keep making the wrong decisions and allowing idiots to lead them. If they would love their children more than they hate Jews then I could get on board with them being a sovereign nation. But they continue to abuse their children by teaching hatred to them.
