Right-Wing Pundit's Work Under Scrutiny By HILLEL ITALIE, AP National Writer

(07-07) 19:17 PDT New York (AP) --

The syndicator of Ann Coulter's newspaper column is looking into allegations that the right-wing pundit has lifted material from other sources.

"We are reviewing the material and expect to have a response some time next week," Kathie Kerr, a spokeswoman for Universal Press Syndicate, told The Associated Press on Friday.

The New York Post and the Web sites Raw Story and the Rude Pundit have raised numerous questions about Coulter's columns, which appear in more than 100 newspapers, and her best-selling "Godless," already notorious for the author's calling four 9/11 widows, who supported Democrat John Kerry for president in 2004, "harpies" thriving on their husbands' demise.

Kerr said that the press syndicate had not discussed the allegations with Coulter, who was not immediately available for comment Friday. The publisher of "Godless," the Crown Publishing Group, issued a statement saying it had reviewed the "the allegations of plagiarism" in her book and "found them to be as trivial and meritless as they are irresponsible."

"As an experienced author and attorney, Ms. Coulter knows when attribution is appropriate, as underscored by the 19 pages and hundreds of endnotes contained in 'Godless,'" Crown's senior vice president and publisher, Steve Ross, said in the statement. [...]

Lucky, lucky you!

I'm in my nursery in PA with four cats and two dogs and zillions of plants breathing on me.

So much for global warming, AlGOREBABY.............. these plants are feeding us all!

CO2 is plant food, Al.

Anyhow........ your environment in Carson City sounds like heaven!

I'm afraid you're buying into the left's position that certain things may not be said

I'm afraid that you may have been raised by wolves.

(no harm meant)

"16?"

That'd still be 3 times as old as your mental age.
But just keep them inanities coming.

Apparently godless has hit a few nerves! Of course she is a target, she hasn't lost a son or husband to get liberal sainthood.

The correct answer is, "You know, you're right!"

From Ann Coulter:

There is no more a "political middle" than there is a family in America with 2.3 children. People with opinions take sides. Contrary to what you've heard, it's actually more important to stand for something than it is for everybody to "just get along."

She's right there ............. but, more importantly than "standing for something" is standing for that something and getting the "other side" to understand it, alter their views, and subsequently come over and help the conservative side.

Ann does not do that. She loves the turmoil........... little else.

She needs to grow up. The girl is 45 years old. That's way past time for a person to just get off on the thrill of the fight. The girl needs to mature..... she'd do the conservatives and the world a lot more good if she did.

I had no idea she was that old. I thought she was in her mid-thirties, like my oldest children.

That's something few have commented on--the Jersey Girls can't use the protections of the Sacred Cow Corollary anymore, which is driving the left into a rage.

You've hit the nail on the head, I think. Coulter has defanged and declawed the Joisey Goils.

Some people will look at them differently than they had.

If you had read that chapter you'd know she was saying "...(the aftermaths) of their husbands deaths...". Not the deaths themselves. Members of the Democrat media have carved out their own context and managed to, yet again, sell the lie to their gullible audience...including you. The lie is now cemented in the national memory and only requires a shorthand mention, like yours, to reinforce it. Like J. Edgar Hoover was a cross-dresser and Joe McCarthy launched a "witch-hunt".

Nice work helping the enemy.

Liberals cry attack when their words are quoted accurately in speech.

Liberals cry plagiarism when foot noted passages are cited.

You know what? I was amazed at that too. I thought, as you, that she was about 34 or 35.

LOL................ but about that "that old" thing. I'm almost 60........ "that old".

;-)

Are you just another human without reading comprehension? I know that is what she meant! The point is just as you say, that the ONE sentence she wrote can be taken by itself by the left to distort her intent. That was my point.... if you could read.

THAT is the point....that is what I said.

Nice work helping the enemy.

Real foolish and ill-informed comment.

opinions are spoken with words

No s**t sherlock? What have the Jersey Girls said about the NSA and SWIFT programs that are attempting to connect the dots? This was one of their big criticisms, that the Bush Admin. did not connect the dots. What did they have to say about Gorelicks Wall? They defended it. What did they have to say about Clinton's complicity? Nothing, right? Since 9/11, I have never seen such partisan politics. The Wellstone memorial comes to mind. The "party" comes before any other considerations. They will stand on the graves of their husbands in order to promote a political agenda.

I really don't think those four airheads are so much ideologues, I just think they are useful idiots.

But no matter, you are right, they have avoided all the things you mention in your post (especially Gorelick's Wall).

By the way, about two or three months ago Kristin Breitweiser was on Softball. It was right then when Able Danger was in the news. On that show she came real close to ridiculing the Clinton administration for their inaction and worse concerning terrorism and all the rest. She was ready to hit on Clinton, then 'Pieface' Matthews quickly cut her off and shortly after that the interview ended.

Since then I guess she's fallen in line again.
