Americans are donating thousands of dollars to support Minutemen patrolling the border. But you may be surprised where your money is NOT going in this 4-month investigation.

As I recall, some liberal Cochise County pols are trying to block his efforts. Yes he said that he would not be dictated to by any governmental body as to what type of fence he would build. That seems odd. Why didn't he look into local requirements before promising an "Israeli wall", collecting contributions based on his websites design that seemed to justify the costs and then settle for a 2 mile cattle fence and leave?

Has he hired the contractor he said he was going to use instead of volunteers? Why does it matter to you whether he uses contractors or volunteers? You afraid you might miss an opportunity to help out? Or are you just looking for another opportunity to spin things against the Minutemen?
I'm sure you're in line to go build fence in the 110 degree Arizona heat, aren't you, "Tex"...

I know it is a racist. That why I rail against them. There is no doubt about it. But it is telling that as they put it that the big whigs up in St Louis where the CoCC is really headquarted were breathing a sigh of relief that they were never "formally" associated with the minuteman When I asked the guy what did he mean by that his response was "you can't be that naive".
But the fact is that memebers of the CoCC were involve with the minuteman as my previous post showed.

Where are you getting your money figures from?
You are saying 250k, Rex was saying over 1Million?
Where are these figures coming from? Especially if the MMDC is not giving out financials.
Thanks
To: EternalVigilance
Why does it matter to you whether he uses contractors or volunteers None at all. Has the contractor been hired? Has he taken bids? Has he even ask for bids?

It seems pretty obvious to me that if the fence is not continuous, the illegals will come through the weak spots, but that's just me. Ya think??
To: Texasforever
Yes he said that he would not be dictated to by any governmental body as to what type of fence he would build.Actually, I've always thought the biggest impediment to a border fence would be the endless enviro lawsuits filed against building it. You figure there has to be some kind of endangered critter along most of the route.
And that is the case whether the feds, a state or private citizens are building it. We cannot impede migrating newts (when the real issue for liberals is to not block migrating future voters).

Do you hold Free Republic to the same standard? All I asked was, "where is the product?"
With FR, I can see the product, and I can use the product.
If all I got when I entered the URL for FR was a page that said, "Coming soon! Premier conservative forum!" and something telling me the web site would be available a month or two ago, I might think your analogy was comparable.

It was in the tape. Simcox said it himself. I am not sure where the million came in unless that is more recent numbers. He has now set a goal of 55 million which to me is crazy on its face.

Seems to me like there was a recent court ruling over San Diego county fence, I think, that said that border security trumped enviro concerns.

"Open Border Lobby" means you do not bow down and worship Tom Tancredo, Pat Buchanan, and Alan Keyes. Is that what OBL stands for? I thought they were referring to Osama Bin Laden.

Then don't you think Simcox should have researched it a bit better before collecting money and then go oops and leave? Is he going to give the money back?

Why don't you tell us, oh great swami of innuendo? Because if Keyes is involved you at least have enough insider knowledge to answer a few basic questions. Or maybe your insider role with Keyes is as truthful as your Rove job offer.

If you follow some of the links I posted to FEC/and OPENSECRETS they have reported 304k.
To: catholicfreeper
When I asked the guy what did he mean by that his response was "you can't be that naive". You're doing opposition research on the Minutemen, and going to the CoCC to do so?
That's a pretty horrible admission to make around here, I would think.
A new low for FROBLs, I would say.
To: dirtboy
That's not what I am saying. Simcox had a duty to know what the issues are and what the cost would be before presenting detailed specifications of the fence he was going to build, post it on his website and collect donations based on those specs.

340k with a maximum 15k fence built to date and no further work underway. Tell me, does that seem a bit odd?
