If Al'Rooters is saying "too close to call" it pretty much means Calderon won it.

So if the lefty wins their economy will crash, they'll lock the borders and lots of people will live in extreme poverty.

only difference from now is they will secure their northern borders. Sounds like a win win.

Maybe if they get a more communist leader, they'll build their own wall to keep their people IN. :-)

It's interesting that they don't explicitly mention who got higher votes in this 'virtually-tie' election.

There will be a bright side if the leftist wins. They need the poor to prop up their agenda which means they might do something on the border.

Isn't that the MO of the leftist...lie all the time, trying to fool the folks...that'll usually backfire on 'em cause....it probably isn't that close and Mexicans will vote the conservative in. Kinda like what the lefties tried to do here in 2004....didn't work for skerry...won't work for the commie candidate in Mexico.

"Mexico's presidential election is too close to call between a leftist anti-poverty campaigner and the conservative ruling party candidate locked in a tie, a respected exit poll said on Sunday."

Judas priest, they pack in all the bias they can right off the bat, don't they? 'Anti-poverty campaigner' as opposed to the evil 'conservative ruler.' Baron Reuters is probably spinning like a top.

Screw exit polls. Only the real numbers matter.

IFE (federal election's institute) president Carlos Ugalde about to give an official pronouncement now.

And it is...

(Something like) "After 7281 precincts, 90-something% of a good sample, it's safe to say there's no posibility to know a sure winner". Will have to wait until Wednesday.

Meanwhile, PRD on the Zocalo has about 3000 people calling Lopez "Presidente". Oh boy.
